Managing a conflict of interest edit

  Hello, Vidya.p.d. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. NeilN talk to me 15:31, 6 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Happiest Minds Technologies edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Happiest Minds Technologies requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.  Velella  Velella Talk   10:41, 14 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hi, thanks for message. If you recreate an inappropriate article a third time, I will protect it from further recreation. I am not prepared to recreate the version I deleted, and looking at DGG's comments I don't think you will get much joy there. Your article

  • did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the company, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, press releases, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what the company claims or interviewing its management.
  • was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. You have an awards section, but no criticism. Examples of unsourced claims presented as fact include: years of experience in the fields of...

also

  • our company page has to be better for users to read and refer— you are still talking about your company page. Again, it's not your page, and it doesn't have to be better for your customers to read, it has to meet out rules.
  • You have a conflict of interest when editing this article and you are very strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly. You are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Vidya.p.d. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Vidya.p.d|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please provide the required disclosure. Note that editing with a COI is discouraged, but permitted as long as it is declared. Concealing a COI can lead to a block. Please do not edit further until you respond to this message.

Please stop asking people to restore your article. You have completely ignored all the advice above and are just trying to get the original unacceptable article restored, still without posting a COI disclosure. It's very unlikely that you will find an admin who will reverse the actions of the deleting admins. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 14:38, 15 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

May I help? edit

Hello User:Jimfbleak. I dont know what the article was about. But may i help in creating a new article on that topic? I can look into it, and if an encyclopaedic article can be created, i will create one; if it cant be encyclopaedic, then i will not create it. But for that i will need some basic information from User:Vidya.p.d. Do you think that would be a good idea Jimfbleak? usernamekiran (talk) 18:48, 15 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

usernamekiran, that's a kind offer, and obviously you are free to write an article if it meets the notability criteria. This user works for the company, so he cannot be considered as impartial, but again you are free to ascertain basic information which will, however, need third-part confirmation Jimfbleak - talk to me? 06:40, 16 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
