Do not make unnecessary reverts without explanations WikiEdits2003 (talk) 08:03, 28 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Daniel Case. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to List of megaprojects in India have been disallowed by an edit filter as they did not appear constructive. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. If you believe the edit filter disallowance was a false positive, please report it here. Feel free to ask for assistance at the Teahouse whenever you like. Thank you. You must have had one if you created an article some time ago. Doug Weller talk 06:57, 2 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

When contributing to Wikipedia articles, please consider whether it is better to write a word or phrase out in full, thus avoiding potential confusion for those not familiar with its abbreviation. See Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Abbreviations. Your recent edit to the article on the Economy of India, did the opposite when you changed "Finance, Banking, Insurance" to "BFSI" (a little known abbreviation). The objective in Wikipedia is to produce a widely-used encyclopaedia.

If you read the article at BFSI, you will see that it follows good practice in that the the text spells out abbreviations when they are first met. So if you had wanted to use the term "BFSI" in the text of the article on the Economy of India, you should have done the same.-- Toddy1 (talk) 18:46, 20 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
