Conflict of interest? I am his daughter, don't understand how I am supposed to add biographical information other than citing very reputable sources such as the New York Times.

edit

I am trying to add some biographical details such as my father was married for 50 years, had two children and four grandchildren. His New York Times obituary substantiates this information, hence I don't understand the conflict of interest. http://www.nytimes.com/2001/04/18/nyregion/thomas-h-stix-plasma-physicist-dies-at-76.html Also, there are some awards, fellowships, etc. that are cited in the press release by Princeton University on the occasion of his death--which seem to be bounced by a bot when I added to his page. Here is the reference. https://www.princeton.edu/pr/pwb/01/0430/2b.shtml — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nyc2cents (talkcontribs) 00:24, 3 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for uploading File:Mercuryturnpike.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Unspecified source/license for File:Askamy.png

Thanks for uploading File:Askamy.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Remember that when adding content about health, please only use high-quality reliable sources as references. We typically use review articles, major textbooks and position statements of national or international organizations (There are several kinds of sources that discuss health: here is how the community classifies them and uses them). WP:MEDHOW walks you through editing step by step. A list of resources to help edit health content can be found here. Re: Your Teahouse response

I can't find the conversation you refer to, but the same topic appeared in the end of January 2017, see the archive:

Wikipedia:Teahouse/Questions/Archive 572#trying to create wiki page for someone who has same name

I gave an explanation in the last paragraph there: The redirection links can be coloured by adding relevant style declarations to your Style Sheet file, either local (say, at en-wiki only) or global (at Meta wikimedia). Here is an example link to my global CSS file:

meta:User:CiaPan/global.css

The .mw-body a.mw-redirect declarations make the links to look like these to me:

  • unvisited redirect link in color #308050
  • visited redirect link in color #3070A0

--CiaPan (talk) 06:19, 11 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Okay, thanks. I copied that to mine, which I never created. I should have linked to the response.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 21:27, 11 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
OK.
It just crossed my mind I should have put the complete answer instead of a link, in case my Meta CSS file ever disappears and anybody else finds this conversation in your archives. So here it is:
.mw-body a.mw-redirect {color:#308050}
.mw-body a.mw-redirect:visited {color:#3070A0}
Best regards. --CiaPan (talk) 06:02, 12 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hi User:Vchimpanzee, thanks for your edit to List of UK Singles Chart number ones of the 2010s, the reason I didn't bother editing is because this article needs a lot of work, in the side images, language like "UK chart topper" needs to be changed to UK number one or number one, the record label section needs to keep with the number of number ones and weeks at number one for each label, because it's falling behind.--Theo Mandela (talk) 00:17, 1 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Just saw the article request you put in Reality TV task force's to-do-list. I see you created a draft in your userspace for it as well. Speedy deletion nomination of Gamil Design

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Gamil Design, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Proposed deletion of The Intersect (Chuck)

edit

The article The Intersect (Chuck) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Appears to fail WP:GNG for non-notability. Article fails WP:NOTPLOT and all the sources are WP:PRIMARY.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. So far, I haven't found anything to indicate what should be done, but a congressman has twice introduced bills providing money for repacking if the cost goes over what was expected, which it inevitably will. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Michael Stivic, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page WTOP (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
