There are many ways you can contribute to Wikipedia. Here are a few ideas:
    Fight vandalism
Be a WikiFairy or a WikiGnome
    Help contribute to articles

    Perform maintenance tasks
Become a member of a project that interests you
    Help design new templates

Remember to always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the   button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to this (your talk) page, and a timestamp.

The best way to learn about something is to experience it. Explore, learn, contribute, and don't forget to have some fun!
To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own private sandbox for use any time. Perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}} on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.

Assignment edit

I assign you Mexican journalist Victor Manuel Baez Chino from Veracruz.Crtew (talk) 05:12, 2 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

I was able to find an American, but it is not yet known whether he was killed or he died by accident in Mexico while working for the AP. Some believe the timing before an election was suspicious but that could be circumstance. Still an investigation is ongoing. Approach this with caution and skepticism. I assign you U.S. intern journalist Armando Montano from Colorado who died in Mexico City. I thought this assignment might better suit your interest in an American subject! Notability edit

Usijkthompson, See if you can get more information about him from obituaries, such as his birth date. Be sure to keep up with developments in this case as your article could change as news becomes available. As far as the biographical facts in the lead goes, it's fine, but you'll need to revisit the lead and notability. However, I would suggest you return to the notability statement when more is known. For now, it's enough to detail the awards he received and the awards created in his name. Crtew (talk) 04:48, 18 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Bare links and infobox edit

Your infobox has grown too large. It should contain only short relevant facts. Anything in the infobox that is important can be merged into the relevant section of the article.Crtew (talk) 15:58, 9 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

MIreneHarris peer review edit

You have some great content! It is informative and it draws the reader in. I only have a couple of suggestions. Your spelling and grammar could be improved some, you are missing a lot from your reactions and impact, and I think every sentence is supposed to be cited. I also think that there were some article titles at the top of your paper and I think those do not have to be in the article since they were used as references for you. I could be wrong, though. MIreneHarris (talk) 00:53, 25 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Review edit

Run the "Reflinks Tool". The link for the tool in in the bare url banner at the top of the article. Click on this link and select "open in a new tab." Let it work for a minute. Copy the references from the tool's page after its run and replace the first instance of each reference. This would have been easier to do earlier. You CANNOT submit until this is completed.

MIreneHarris is right about needing to fill in the reactions and impact section.Crtew (talk) 01:50, 13 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
