Speedy deletion nomination of User:Triangleproductions30/sandbox edit

A tag has been placed on User:Triangleproductions30/sandbox requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. May 2019 edit

There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing. Additionally, If you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for your contributions to Wikipedia, you must disclose who is paying you to edit.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block. To do so, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason for thinking that the block was an error, and publish the page. I am so confused! We are trying to place a business history onto Wikipedia. triangle productions! of Portland is one of the oldest LGBTQ identified arts organization in the USA. We think that is substantial as well as the work we have done in the LGBTQ community. We definitely are NOT trying to sell anything or promote, but to show our history and be a point of reference. How can I get someone to help me? Triangleproductions30 (talk) 21:48, 3 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

You seem to have a misconception about what Wikipedia is. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not a forum to merely tell about an organization or what it considers to be its history. Wikipedia is only interested in what independent reliable sources state about article subjects that are notable as Wikipedia defines it, for organizations that is written at WP:ORG. Wikipedia has no interest in what an organization wants to say about itself. I'm glad that your organization does good work, but you can't use Wikipedia to tell the world about it.
You also have a conflict of interest and may be a paid editor. You won't be permitted to edit within your conflict of interest. If that's all you are interested in doing, you won't be unblocked, and should consider social media, your own website, or alternate forums. If you want to be a general, individual Wikipedia contributor, and edit about subjects unrelated to your COI, please follow the instructions above, including proposing a new username. 331dot (talk) 02:38, 4 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
