Welcome and Username edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Trianglepro", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. KaisaL (talk) 00:34, 11 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

April 2014 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy.  You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. Thank you. Request reason:

My friend and I were under the impression that if we used a name affiliated with the article, it made the information slightly more legitimate. Neither of us are actually with the company, but we have known and periodically volunteered with them for a couple of years. After getting this idea from seeing Portland Center Stage's page, we asked the founder if he would allow us to browse the theatre's encyclopedia and research the information at the library's database. We will change the name for this user to a more appropriate name if this account is unblocked and hopefully after the page is live (without restrictions), other guests or long time audience members can find this article and edit it with further information. We just wanted to set the article up so that others who follow the company past either of us can keep up to date.Trianglepro (talk) 19:58, 13 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

'We' don't have an account. Wikipedia accounts are for individuals only - this is in addition to the naming problem. This even applies to husband and wife. The name you suggest below looks OK to me, but you must tell us that you understand what I am explaining here. (Just put a note below the request - don't put a new request.) If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

In fact, info from an editor using an organisation name is regarded as much less reliable and often intended to promote the organisation... Peridon (talk) 13:35, 14 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I was under the impression that if the username was affiliated with the article, it was more likely to be accepted. I am changing the username to my own name. Trianglepro (talk) 20:01, 13 April 2014 (UTC)

Accept reason:

Allowing username change to requested username. Please put this request in at Wikipedia:Changing username as soon as possible to avoid re-blocking. Scroll down to Simple. Peridon (talk) 08:13, 17 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I understand my fault in creating this wikipedia page for more than one user. The name I created the account with was named with the association of the article I wrote. This user is not affiliated with the company nor will it be used to advertise or promote Triangle Productions in any way. This user will be to edit documents only and will not write any biased or slanted information in any of any article. I understand that this page was blocked because of the possible affiliation with Triangle Productions and that it was created for multiple users. I will not relay any false information in any articles I write or edit, they will be factual and written without a writer's voice or spam. When unblocked, I promise to follow the guidelines given to me as a wikipedia user, including the ones I have already broken. This block should be reversed because I understand my faults and I promise to follow the guidelines when creating an article, account, etc. Trianglepro (talk) 11:30 pm, Yesterday (UTC+1))

Decline reason:

Procedural close; account has already been unblocked. Yunshui  09:16, 24 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Note edit

I apologize for not reading everything clearly, I noticed this is why my account is under a block and the article I have written is under deletion. I will further do my best to read thoroughly and obey any of Wikipedia's rules, including that of not holding an account as more than one person (Or an account that is affiliated with a company). I hold responsibility for my account as myself and myself only. The name should be nissedkat and will only be used to edit articles I have no affiliation to.
