June 2020 edit

Hello, I'm Nieuwsgierige Gebruiker. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Flat white have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse. Thanks. Nieuwsgierige Gebruiker (talk) 15:32, 28 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

It's not personal - it's Wikipeidia. And by that, I mean that Wikipedia provides editors with boilerplate wording for reverts and warnings. For example, there are for levels of vandalism warnings before an editor might be blocked. From watching what happened at Flat white, clear that your edits were intended in good faith, but what you did bolloxed the article. Hence the revert and comment. My suggestion is that rather than removing any existing content from Origins, you add text with references at the end of that section for your proposal that there is a much earlier use of the phrase. And do make use of Edit summary, as that lets other editors be aware of the intention of your edits. David notMD (talk) 18:55, 28 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
