Paul Manners page deletion - notable figure

Please undelete the page Paul Manners which you have recently deleted. He is a recognised celebrity from Britain's Got Talent 2015 and is notable if you type in his name on google plus other search engines.

Kindest regards. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Claire Morgan1 (talkcontribs) 00:30, 1 September 2015 (UTC)

Deletion of Commercial Loan Direct and CLD Capital, Inc.

Hello I was wondering why the articles Commercial Loan Direct and CLD Capital were deleted. If we could discuss any page issues and discuss restoring the page, that would be appreciated. Thanks. Richyray92 (talk) 19:25, 1 September 2015 (UTC)

@Richyray92: The pages Commercial Loan Direct and CLD Capital were deleted as a result of Wikipedia:Long-term abuse/Orangemoody/Articles. Because most of the pages created by these accounts contain copyright violations, including unattributed copying, I will not undelete these pages. If the subject satisfies our normal inclusion criteria, feel free to create a new article. If you need more help, please contact info-orangemoody wikipedia.org. T. Epom Ad Server undeletion request

Hello Tim, The Epom Ad Server page has been deleted per the LTA Orangemoody. The page was created by BennyCrown, however since then several other users (including me) have revised the article and added information and sources to it, which I believe made the article meet the Notability requirements of Wikipedia.

The Epom Ad Server entry is also available in Ukrainian, and as far as I was able to gather, it is in good standing.

Thank you for your help,

Hi dear admin, i see you deleted George Oliveira page, please reconsider as i believe that there were no relevant changes to the page that could cause a deletion, the subject matter is still relevant and the page informative, could that deletion request be caused by some rogue user seeking revenge or some other hateful intention? Paul Manners - Response To Your Answer

The reply has simply been copied to other users. I would like an INDIVIDUAL response as to why this page has been deleted instead of copying the same response to other users! Do you not watch British Television or did you not even read the references or look the person up? He has a verified Facebook page!! The notability guidlines states that there have to be enough sources, there were 14 of them! Reconsider your decision or I shall put this forward to being reviewed. I would like to also state that I have not been paid in any way to do this as I am now reading articles. It is ashame that Paul is now caught in the crossfire of which he is now being mentioned in the Independent newspaper!

Regards. --Claire Morgan 08:05, 2 September 2015 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Claire Morgan1 (talkcontribs)

No, I'm not undeleting the page. Feel free to take it to deletion review if you want, though I strongly suspect you won't get a different outcome there. T. Canens (talk) 08:19, 2 September 2015 (UTC)

Deletion of Dawn Richardson

Tim, whatever the tainted origins of the now-deleted article on Dawn Richardson may have been, I would appreciate the opportunity to continue the work I've done on improving that article. Richardson has been a member of at least two notable bands, 4 Non Blondes and The Loud Family. The article certainly needed much improvement when I first edited it, but I do believe that I'd already whipped that article into acceptable shape as a start-class article (at least a bit better than stub-class) on this musician. Can we please revert the deletion? Lwarrenwiki (talk) 03:03, 1 September 2015 (UTC)

Hi Lwarrenwiki, the problems with OM socks is that many of their creations are copyvios or unattributed copying (which causes later edits to have derivative work issues), so I'm reluctant to undelete it. With Dawn Richardson in particular, a large portion of it appears to have been taken from Draft:Dawn Richardson with no attribution. I totally understand your frustration, but under the circumstances I think it would be easier to reapply your edits to the draft space page and then move it to mainspace. T. Canens (talk) 03:47, 1 September 2015 (UTC)
Thank you. Now I understand better why the undelete is a bad move. And I think I could do what you suggest, if I had access to my edits. Is the deleted version with my edits still available to me, anywhere? Also, would it require admin privileges to then move the edited draft to mainspace, or is that something I can boldly do myself? In a similar vein, the lengthy comments at the top of the draft will need to be removed (or put into a talk page), and I'm unsure of whether I'd be stepping on toes by doing that. Lwarrenwiki (talk) 04:20, 1 September 2015 (UTC)
@Lwarrenwiki: I have the technical ability to send you the contents of the page, but the problem with that is the same as the problem with undeleting - potential derivative work issues. Removing the comments and AFC templates and moving the draft yourself is totally fine. If you run into any technical hurdles, feel free to leave me a message and I'll fix it. T. Canens (talk) 17:59, 1 September 2015 (UTC)
@Timotheus Canens: Hmm. The unintended result is that my own original work is now lost to me – for example, the citations that I added in the course of editing the article, and ISBN numbers that I looked up and added. I just don't have time in the near future to do that again. I've got professional experience in the field of intellectual property, and therefore I do understand your reluctance to trust most editors to cleanly separate out their original work, and I don't take it personally. Lwarrenwiki (talk) 19:04, 1 September 2015 (UTC)
@Timotheus Canens: Maybe you could send Lwarrenwiki the References section only. That way he can find his sources back and work on the article again. Cheers!
@Timotheus Canens: No, thanks, I'm OK without it, and I'm slowly proceeding with some edits on the draft. Eventually it will be ready for mainspace again. Lwarrenwiki (talk) 21:42, 2 September 2015 (UTC)

Reason of deletion of Article G.O.D.TECH 11:40, 4 September 2015 (UTC)

So you have deleted G.O.D.TECH without giving me the 4 weeks I asked for to collate together the news articles that relate to the film.
Well here are the news articles:
Ayrshire Post 16th August 2014 "Movie role for hunky Andrew"
Monroe County Advocate & Democrat Page 9, 4th July 2012 "Small town dreams lead to big screen"
I have physical copies of these articles if I need to upload them.
Please could I create the page again?
And here are the other references linked:

I don't see you asking for four weeks anywhere in the AFD. You asked for "a few days" on August 13. The discussion was closed on August 26, which is almost two weeks afterwards. In any event, I see that the page has been userfied. Feel free to incorporate the sources and take it to deletion review, but it looks like both articles you rely on were published in local newspapers, and I have my doubts about whether they are sufficient to show notability, but that's for deletion review to decide. Invitation to subscribe to the edit filter mailing list

Hi, as a user in the edit filter manager user group we wanted to let you know about the new wikipedia-en-editfilters mailing list. As part of our recent efforts to improve the use of edit filters on the English Wikipedia it has been established as a venue for internal discussion by edit filter managers regarding private filters (those only viewable by administrators and edit filter managers) and also as a means by which non-admins can ask questions about hidden filters that wouldn't be appropriate to discuss on-wiki. As an edit filter manager we encourage you to subscribe; the more users we have in the mailing list the more useful it will be to the community. If you subscribe we will send a short email to you through Wikipedia to confirm your subscription, but let us know if you'd prefer another method of verification. I'd also like to take the opportunity to invite you to contribute to the proposed guideline for edit filter use at WP:Edit filter/Draft and the associated talk page. Thank you! This is a message from the Wikimedia Foundation. Translations are available.

As you may know, the Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees approved a new "Access to nonpublic information policy" on 25 April 2014 after a community consultation. The former policy has remained in place until the new policy could be implemented. That implementation work is now being done, and we are beginning the transition to the new policy.

An important part of that transition is helping volunteers like you sign the required confidentiality agreement. All Wikimedia volunteers with access to nonpublic information are required to sign this new agreement, and we have prepared some documentation to help you do so.

The Wikimedia Foundation is requiring that anyone with access to nonpublic information sign the new confidentiality agreement by 15 December 2015 (OTRS users have until 22 December 2015) to retain their access. You are receiving this email because you have access to nonpublic information and are required to sign the confidentiality agreement under the new policy.

Signing the confidentiality agreement for nonpublic information is conducted and tracked using Legalpad on Phabricator. The general confidentiality agreement is now ready, and the OTRS agreement will be ready after 22 September 2015. We have prepared a guide on Meta-Wiki to help you create your Phabricator account and sign the new agreement: Confidentiality agreement for nonpublic information/How to sign

If you have any questions or experience any problems while signing the new agreement, please visit this talk page or email me (gvarnum wikimedia.org). Again, please sign this confidentiality agreement by 15 December 2015 (OTRS users have until 22 December 2015) to retain your access to nonpublic information. If you do not wish to retain this access, please let me know and we will forward your request to the appropriate individuals.

Thank you,
Gregory Varnum (User:GVarnum-WMF), Wikimedia Foundation

Hello Timotheus

I have been editing Wikipedia articles on and off for years. I consider myself committed to the mission of improving quality. Most of my work has been minor, behind-the-scenes stuff, removing broken links etc on articles in areas for which I have personal interest.

One of my biggest interests is fitness and I created the Hugo Rivera (author) article because his story and books changed my life. I couldn't believe he didn't already have a Wikipedia page. I would like to put it back up if it is not going to run afoul of policies. I have read and understand the notability guidelines and I believe this passes. I do not want to be confused with Orangmoody or any sockpuppet account. I assure you I am a very real individual with no connections to anyone within Wikipedia.
