Cut and paste moves edit

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you.

The above was generated by {{Uw-c&pmove}}

If you want to make a page move that has been debated in the past use the WP:RM process if you want to request a move. If after a week it is agreed then an administrator can make the move. What is an absolute no no is a cut and paste move like this. This is because it detaches the edit history from the article. The edit history must remain with the article for copyright reasons. --PBS (talk) 16:15, 27 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Benfica template edit

In the next time at least explain why you are reverting an edit. BenficaNNossaPaixao (talk) 20:10, 5 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for February 22 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited FIBA Africa Women's Clubs Champions Cup, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Tunes (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Blocked for 12 hours edit

I explained to you in the section #Cut and paste moves why cut and paste moves are not allowed on Wikipedia. I explained this to you and advised that if you wanted to make such a move you should use a WP:RM process to initiate a move. Yet despite this you have now made another cut and paste move to the same page:

--PBS (talk) 01:03, 25 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 12 hours for repeating a cut and paste move an ignoring the explanation given in the section cut and paste moves higher up this talk page for why cut and paste moves are depreciated. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  PBS (talk) 01:03, 25 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Copied from my talk page:

In what Wikipedia talk page can I report your maddening witch-hunt against me? I have been contributing dozens of times almost daily since 2005 and am a registered user since 2007, never did I vandalize a page nor tried to negatively affect Wikipedia, so I demand respect from you. I hope you'll be as fast replying to my question as you were fast blocking me for some obscure reason. Answer in my talk page. Good day. Tibullus call me 14:59, 25 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

You can take it to WP:ANI if you wish, but consider, if having read the guidance about cut and past moves if your complaint is warranted. -- PBS (talk) 15:06, 25 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your message. The same User has left a message on my Talk (above the one you just left) and requested that I don't speak to you in Portuguese, but instead use English. Actually personal user talk is allowed to use other languages, but since I've been specifically asked to use English in this case I'll do so. I can see you are an sincere and valuable editor, otherwise I would not have asked if you would like help. What is done is done, let us move forward. As I said above, the procedures on en.wp for renaming pages in a case like the one I noticed require use of the WP:RM template. In fact even on pt.wp, even though pt.wp does not have WP:RM, it also breaks copyright to move by cut-and-paste. So, would you like help to do a WP:RM on this article? It is nice to hear from you. Many thanks for your message. No, I'm not a vernacular speaker, as I'm sure you can tell, I only have an interest in Fado, that is all. Yes, it's probably wise to leave it to someone else to put in a WP:RM for the Académica articles with this much "history", but all the same, as a valued contributor to wp, you should feel free to use tools such as WP:RM. Best wishes and thank you for your edits! In ictu oculi (talk) 03:46, 2 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
No worries :) Eu? Sou uma mistura, haha. I was introduced to Fado by Paul Van Nevel's CD Tears of Lisbon which by coincidence was the same time as reading Sostiene Pereira. Will see you again on some article some time. Take care! In ictu oculi (talk) 05:49, 2 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

I created a very brief stub for António Luís Gomes. Cheers. In ictu oculi (talk) 13:35, 29 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Your request for rollback edit

Hi Tibullus. After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Malinaccier (talk) 17:11, 2 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. The list of articles awaiting review is located at Special:PendingChanges. A full list of articles that have pending changes protection turned on will be at Special:StablePages.

Being granted reviewer rights neither grants you status nor changes how you can edit articles. If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time.

Feedback edit

Vê a época 1999–2000 S.L.
