Greetings, I am hoping to add quotes to the Arnold Schwarzegger page, however, it is 'protected'. I am a bit confused, I thought the ENTIRE point of wikipedia was that it is editable by all (subject to moderation). Could someone please be kind enough to explain this dichotomy to me. - Hi there. Wikipedia is supposed to be editable by anyone, but it's sometimes necessary to protect articles (especially biographies of living people) if they receive a lot of vandalism or otherwise problematic edits. You can learn more about protection criteria at WP:PROTECT. The Arnold Schwarzenegger page is semi-protected, which means that it can't be edited by unregistered users and users who are not autoconfirmed. Users become autoconfirmed when their account is 4 days old and they have made at least 10 edits. If you want to edit this page, you can either make constructive edits to some other articles and wait until your account is autoconfirmed, or you can post on the article's talk page and an autoconfirmed user can add your edits to the article if they feel they are appropriate. In the future, you can ask for help at the Teahouse - more people will see your question there than on your talk page. Hope this helps, and welcome to Wikipedia.
