October 2018 edit

Hello, I'm Daiyusha. I noticed that you made one or more changes to an article, List of Croatian inventions and discoveries, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Regarding Parachute edit

Even your source says the first european parachute was designed by Leonardo da vinci. The first parachute in the world was designed by chinese anyway. And the modern day parachute was designed in france. So Croatia should not get the credit for inventing the parachute. Please provide proof saying Croatia was the first Daiyusha (talk) 17:19, 21 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi Daiyusha, I don't know how to respond to you in a message. Listen, the list of British inventions has inventions that were only partly invented by the British, so I don't understand why I can't list the parachute on here? Do you wanna remove all the British ones that were only partly invented by the British then? ThenameisMary (talk) 17:22, 21 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

I'm re-adding the parachute as a partial invention.

Regarding British inventions edit

Thank you for letting me know, i shall look into the british page. I am rejecting the Parachute one, because the croatian guy is not the first inventor of the parachute, not the first european, he had just his model, and the modern one wasn't his either. If he was a co-inventor, i would have considered it.

Listing "parachute" as an invention suggests that the croat was the one who invented it, which isnt the case. I accepted a modified version of the atomic theory because it is a branched version of newton's model. And it can't be a precursor, since the croat's model was not built upon to the modern atomic theory.

Request reason:

Hello, I am not a sock puppet of Filipz123. I have no idea who he is or what he's written in the past. I understand that my behaviour on Oct. 21st, 2018 was unacceptable and I apologize for it. I acted this way because I was infuriated by what I perceived as editing of the List of Croatian Inventions and Discoveries page by a user with the agenda to undermine Croatian inventors. That user is Ivanvector. He removed the necktie as a Croatian invention for the ridiculous reason that the Croat military unit who wore the neckties included non-Croat soldiers. His notes on the invention of the torpedo are derivative to Ivan Vukic/Giovanni Luppis, the man who came up with the first prototype. His use of the phrase "Whitehead credited Luppis as its inventor" has the implication that Luppis did not in fact invent it (a self-propelled weapon), but was merely given credit for inventing it by another person. I promise not to make disruptive edits anymore. Oct. 21st was my first time ever editing a page, so I was unfamiliar with the rules regarding editing. Furthermore, I wish for Ivanvector to be prohibited from making further edits to the List of Croatian Inventions and Discoveries page. Ivanvector is neither Slavic nor has any familiarity with Croatian culture. He is a Canadian living on Prince Edward Island. Thank you for reading my appeal and I hope you will consider lifting the block.

    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Yunshui  11:42, 23 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Reasons I feel I should be unblocked: 1) Other than yesterday, I have not made any disruptive edits. I have had this account since at least Aug, which means for the majority of my account's existence, I have no made disruptive edits. 2) I understand that my language and behaviour towards the other editors is the reason I was blocked. I understand that using language like that, and generally being belligerent is not tolerated on Wikipedia. #3) I will not continue to cause damage or disruption to Wikipedia pages, and will only make useful contributions instead.
