Blatent plug - type UTC into the search box and hit go. It's what we knew as GMT, EU/UN-ified. I just translate to "London time" in my head.

As for notability, there is such a range of opinion here that at times it seems a maelstrom. I am conflicted, as I mentioned, perhaps because I am too concrete in my evaluations, preferring "what things" to "what doings". And yet, your article has so much more in it of real 'doings' that it looks wonderful compared to many many others. It's just that there's been so many really bad ones here that people have become more than jaundiced. I going to flip-flop, though weakly. Good luck. Shenme 01:34, 25 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Janey Godley edit

I noticed your comment about standardizing on bold for titles in this article. Standardizing within an article is certainly good, but the standard across the Wikipedia is to use italics for the titles of longer works such as books and plays. See the guidelines here: Wikipedia:Manual of Style (titles). —johndburger 12:44, 9 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

You have complained on the talk page of the anti-vandalism bot, Tawkerbot2, about the bot reverting you on the Janey Godley article. However, when I look at the history for that article, I see no edits by the bot. So I'm not really sure what you are complaining about. The only time I can see that you interacted with the bot was in mid April, when the bot reverted you for blanking the page about yourself. So it's very hard to see just what you are complaining about. Sorry. - TexasAndroid 14:43, 9 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

The Long Good Friday edit

Hello Thejohnfleming. I just wanted to say thank you for your recent additions about the production of this film. You did a good job of citing everything and this was all info that I had not encountered before, thus, I found it very interesting (I can't even imagine a 75 minute version!). I am glad that George Harrison and Handmade Films came to the rescue. They gave us many fine films in the years after. It is such a shame that Denis O'Brien wound up ripping George off. Thanks again. Danger Man edit

Thanks for adding that interesting quote from Brian Clemens regarding the first episode of Danger Man. The only change I made to your edit is to correct a fact: Sydney Newman created The Avengers, not Clemens. Cheers! 23skidoo 16:36, 28 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:HandstandsInTheDarkHardback.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:HandstandsInTheDarkHardback.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Orphaned non-free media (Image:HandstandsInTheDarkPaperback.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:HandstandsInTheDarkPaperback.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 21:16, 30 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

GA review of Malcolm Hardee edit

I've reviewed the article and left notes on the talk page. I've put the nomination on hold for seven days to allow the issues to be addressed. Feel free to contact me on my talk page, here, or on the article talk page with any concerns, and let me know one of those places when the issues have been addressed. If I may suggest that you strike out, check mark, or otherwise mark the items I've detailed, that will make it possible for me to see what's been addressed, and you can keep track of what's been done and what still needs to be worked on.Ealdgyth | Talk 16:28, 22 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Is this image in the public domain or is it copyrighted? --Geniac (talk) 01:14, 18 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Ok, sorry for the confusion. I just realised that it couldn't be copyrighted and public domain; that's why I asked. I couldn't find a specific matching PD tag, so I used the generic PD-because tag and copypasted the applicable line from the description you provided. I think it's sorted now. --Geniac (talk) 12:45, 18 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi. The issue is changing date format of British citizen to U.S. format. The WP guideline is don't do that. :)

NOTE: I was dealing with undoing a lot of those changes by one determined person when i undid yours (I think:). Got an email apology for that one. lol Cheers! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Proofreader77 (talkcontribs) 22:52, 9 March 2009

If you created File:HackneyAdWikipedia.gif, do you have it in any higher resolution? Ideally we should at least be able to read the text on it, even if you don't want to release the higher-resolution version into the public domain.  ;-) leevclarke (talk) 04:30, 19 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:HardeeWibbleyWobbley.jpg edit

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:HardeeWibbleyWobbley.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. File copyright problem with File:KillerBitch_DVDcover.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:KillerBitch_DVDcover.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. feydey (talk) 09:19, 8 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Malcolm Hardee images edit

Just taking a look at the Malcolm Hardee article, and I notice that most of the images are yours, and they're all a bit tiny - is there any chance you could upload larger versions of them? It'd be good for readers to see a decent view of File:Upthecreek.gif, or to be able to read the text on the poster at File:HackneyAdWikipedia.gif, if possible. If you're concerned about the re-use of high-quality images, or if you simply don't have access to any higher-resolution versions, though, fair enough. --McGeddon (talk) 10:07, 23 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Notification of automated file description generation edit

Your upload of File:CharlieChuck2002.jpg or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! Message delivered by Theo's Little Bot (opt-out) 14:22, 24 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

  • Another one of your uploads, File:ClydeByWeavers2.jpg, has also had some information automatically added. If you get a moment, please review the bot's contributions there as well. Thanks! Message delivered by Theo's Little Bot (opt-out) 14:53, 14 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of File:Upthecreek.gif edit

The file File:Upthecreek.gif has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 21 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
