Thillana Mohanambal edit

This page has screenshots of information on Thillana Mohanambal from a magazine. Since you can read Tamil, it should help. Kailash29792 (talk) 17:29, 9 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

This page is from Sivaji Ganesan: Autobiography of an Actor (2007). Kailash29792 (talk) 05:19, 11 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
Can you please elaborate on the train sequence in Thillana Mohanambal and its popularity with reliable sources? Then I think the image of that sequence may stay to satisfy WP:NFCC#8. Kailash29792 (talk) 10:35, 1 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
@Kailash29792: It is mentioned in Laughter lines in "Critical Response". I'll find out more. Thanks. Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 11:21, 2 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Sockpuppetry edit

Are you sure you are not Ssven2 operating through a new account? Because sockpuppetry is illegal here, and could lead to you being blocked. Kailash29792 (talk) 09:28, 10 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Nope. I just happened to see someone edit his article (which I came up through your talk page). I thought the user was vandalising it. That's all. Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 10:37, 10 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Email edit

Can you check your "preferences" page and see under "email options" whether you have enabled email from other users? If yes, it would be helpful; I could mail you more screenshots from books rather than upload them online. Let us keep the conversation here itself. Kailash29792 (talk) 16:16, 13 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Enabled. Thank you. Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 23:52, 13 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Mouna Ragam edit

@Kailash29792, in the meantime, can you send me Dhananjayan's and Mani Ratnam's articles on Mouna Ragam. Thank you. Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 14:11, 14 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Yes. Both The Best of Tamil Cinema and Conversations with Mani Ratnam have good information on Mouna Ragam. Kailash29792 (talk) 14:35, 14 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
@Kailash29792: BTW, the production section needs some copyediting. I have done a few. If you could help me in rephrasing the words, it would be useful. Thank you. Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 14:37, 14 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
If you intend on taking Mouna Ragam to GA status, it would be the greatest you can do to Indian cinema; while Indian films of every decade has a GA, only there is none in the 1980's. Use all you can do to develop the article. But do check all the images by passing through the slideshow. Kailash29792 (talk) 16:31, 14 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
@Kailash29792: And Dhananjayan? :) Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 11:23, 15 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
Get the whole part here. Kailash29792 (talk) 11:55, 15 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
@Kailash29792: Thanks. Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 14:52, 15 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

This book has some useful info that you can use in "Themes" and "Music". I have already listed it in "Bibliography". Kailash29792 (talk) 07:21, 16 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

@Kailash29792: Can you elaborate on the info in page 37 and 38 of Conversations... about the wedding night scene and the tulasi plant. Thanks. Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 02:14, 17 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
If, and when I find time, I will. Kailash29792 (talk) 02:40, 17 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
@Kailash29792: Thanks. Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 02:41, 17 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
This appears to be the original tracklisting of Mouna Ragam's soundtrack. You mind if we follow this style? Kailash29792 (talk) 06:15, 18 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
@Kailash29792: By all means, do so. Hats off to you for finding the original album cover. BTW, I'll work on both Nayakan and Guru in Tandem. :) Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 07:18, 18 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Is there anything wrong here, concerning the awards that Mouna Ragam won? Kailash29792 (talk) 04:30, 20 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

@Kailash29792: Maybe it could have won along with Samsaram Adhu Minsaram. This is indeed an RS, so, can be added. Thanks. Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 04:32, 20 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

@Kailash29792: Well, you mentioned in the WP:GOCE/REQ that "it will look good in British English.". So that's why I wrote "rationalise" instead of "rationalize". Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 07:18, 25 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Yes I did say that. But did you read WP:QUOTE and WP:SIC? The latter reads, "the wording of the quoted text should be faithfully reproduced". Kailash29792 (talk) 07:32, 25 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
@Kailash29792: Went through them as you suggested. Thank you. Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 08:09, 25 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
The article makes mention of the scene known as "Mr. Chandramouli", after Karthik's dialogue in it, in addition to showing a still from the scene. Can you elaborate a bit more on that scene in the article? You can even use the film's DVD as a source. Kailash29792 (talk) 15:47, 28 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

File:Mouna ragam.jpg listed for deletion edit

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Mouna ragam.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why it has been listed (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry). Feel free to add your opinion on the matter below the nomination. Thank you. Kailash29792 (talk) 06:41, 16 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

@Kailash29792: Ok now? :) Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 06:56, 16 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
Ok in the sense how? Actually, I nominated the picture for deletion as it added nothing new to the article. Read the point "Contextual significance" to know more. Kailash29792 (talk) 07:01, 16 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
@Kailash29792: Oh, I see. Thanks. Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 07:02, 16 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
Moreover, a scene as significant/popular as the drum dance scene in Chandralekha, the shower scene in Psycho or the train scene in DDLJ should satisfy WP:NFCC. Kailash29792 (talk) 07:11, 16 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
@Kailash29792: Maybe the train scene in the climax or the scene where Karthik asks Revathi for a cup of coffee can be used? :) Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 07:15, 16 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
I like the train one (I guess it inspired DDLJ, with a role reversal). Find any source that proves its popularity. Kailash29792 (talk) 07:28, 16 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
@Kailash29792: Maybe even the "Mr. Chandramouli" scene? Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 07:45, 16 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
I think the restaurant scene will do, cause you have written about it in "themes". Kailash29792 (talk) 02:38, 17 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Guru and Nayakan edit

@Kailash29792: Now that MN has been sent to GOCE, next up, I would like to expand this Mani Ratnam film. It has a lot of sources and has wide coverage. Conversations... surely would have good info on Guru. Thank you. Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 10:44, 17 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Sure, but I think Nayakan also has excellent potential of becoming a GA (even FA is possible), and I have countless references you can use. How about that? Kailash29792 (talk) 10:49, 17 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
@Kailash29792: Aah, what a fine idea. But then I saw the article and the problem is each of them (Kamal, Ratnam and Muktha Srinivasan) have their own version of the film's making and promotion. I don't know which to pick. What's your choice?. Also there are hardly any sources having box office collections. :) Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 10:52, 17 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
Ratnam is the most reliable in this case as he does not conflict or contradict almost any of Kamal/Mukta's claims. I'll send you some information today from Conversations. And about the box office collections, never mind. I don't think they are that necessary for GA. Kailash29792 (talk) 11:00, 17 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
@Kailash29792: Since you mentioned FA, which is one of the best articles on wikipedia as per what the page says, I thought we can aim for FA. GA is fine as well. It is a good movie and deserves to be at least either of them. All of the references point to one common thing though, that Kamal was involved in the make-up and design of other artistes in the film. Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 11:02, 17 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
It is better to get an article to GA first, then FA, for ease. Kailash29792 (talk) 11:11, 17 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
@Kailash29792: Sounds good, as most films like Mughal-e-Azam and Sholay, even the article you have developed, Chandralekha, have followed that procedure. BTW, I looked at the FAC review of Chandralekha. Hope it becomes an FA soon. All the best. :) Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 11:13, 17 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Use all you can to develop Nayakan. Info on Guru coming soon. Kailash29792 (talk) 17:34, 17 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

@Kailash29792: Where is the source for the description above the Hindi tracklist for Nayakan? :) Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 01:06, 19 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
Try this or this. Kailash29792 (talk) 04:24, 19 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
@Kailash29792: I might have found a page from this book regarding Nayakan's box office collections. Can u check if it is available, please? Also, here is another one but it's from a blog although it does mention that it ran for 25 weeks (175 days). Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 01:00, 20 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
I can't access that book anyway. But I got snapshots from the book Cinema of Interruptions by Lalitha Gopalan. See what you can use. Kailash29792 (talk) 08:48, 25 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
@Kailash29792: Got Guru yet? No hurry, BTW. Thanks. Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 10:39, 25 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

2006 edit

@Kailash29792, did Dhananjayan write about Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu? Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 01:33, 21 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

No, he did not :( Kailash29792 (talk) 02:51, 21 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Teahouse Questions edit

Hi there - just a heads up that I have moved your recent question at the Teahouse from the bottom of the page to the top. Most talk pages require that new discussions be placed at the bottom of the page. At the Teahouse, however, new questions are placed at the top to maximize visibility. Thanks!

On that note, I have offered a reply to your question :) ~SuperHamster Talk Contribs 01:15, 28 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
