Threat to delete this article

I initiated this article in my capacity initially as a member of the project steering group for two years, followed by two years as secretary of The Hundred Parishes Society since it was established in 2012. I probably have more knowledge about the concept than anyone else. I object to the suggestion that this article might be deleted because it is effectively only promoted by the Hundred Parishes Society. The concept has gathered widespread local support from county and district councils, MPs, MEPs. CPRE, etc, and was formally adopted at a constitutional conference in 2012. It is only since receiving registered charity status in July 2014 that the Society has started to publicise the Hundred Parishes name and concept to the general public. For the last three or four years, organisations and authorities have given encouragement and have been able to view progress through presentations and a temporary website www.essexinfo.net/thehundredparishes. The nominator is pointing out, correctly, that this article needs citations to establish the supposed "widespread local support" you refer to above and that the name is notable, at the very least among the population of the region, versus it being an invention of the Society that is promoting it. Absent this, the article is likely to be deleted in keeping with Wikipedia policy. Also, please note that as the secretary of the Society, you have established that you have a conflict of interest when writing about it and/or its initiatives here. I will post a separate message on your page about this, which explains that you must use extra care in editing. Most especially you must take pains to make sure any claims are properly cited to independent, reliable sources (not just the Society). Dwpaul ^Talk 21:05, 22 August 2014 (UTC)

Whilst we have several emails and letters of support from, for example MPs and MEPs, the only online reference I have so far found is in the recent blog of Oliver Heald, MP - http://oliverheald.wordpress.com/2014/08/15/the-hundred-parishes-society-and-the-launch-of-its-new-website/ - I don't consider this suitable to include within the article.
