Edit warring and logged-out edits

edit

Hello, I noticed that you may have recently made edits while logged out. Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow the use of both an account and an IP address by the same person in the same setting and doing so may result in your account being blocked from editing. Additionally, making edits while logged out reveals your IP address, which may allow others to determine your location and identity. If this was not your intention, please remember to log in when editing. Thank you. --Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 18:30, 26 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Cinema of the Philippines. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.--Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 18:30, 26 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi there, this is the reason why I'm putting this in the Cinema of the Philippines article. Not all Philippines cinemas in film festivals like Metro Manila Film Festival not to show foreign films. There are other PH cinemas that cannot show any local film, like IMAX and 4DX. There are no local films produced on IMAX and 4DX. So this is the reason why I'm including this in the article. Thank you. --TerahBytes 18:30, 26 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

The problem is that you are editing as both an account and while logged-out to restore disputed unsourced content across multiple articles. This is edit-warring and is disallowed by our policies regarding multiple accounts. Please read through the links provided in my messages above and ensure you seek consensus for the edits you are making.--Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 19:03, 26 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of cinemas in Metro Manila, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page DTS (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Your recent editing history at SM Mall of Asia shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for the persistent addition of unsourced content and edit-warring to restore the material when reverted. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 19:01, 22 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom 2018 election voter message

edit

Hello, Terahbytes. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to SM Southmall, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. Yamaguchi先生 (talk) 21:36, 22 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Soronast. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, List of films released in IMAX, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Proposed deletion of Vista Cinemas

edit

The article Vista Cinemas has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable movie chain, trivial coverage in linked sources

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. creffett (talk) 00:45, 23 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
