Speedy deletion nomination of User:Tehshakur/sandbox

edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. A tag has been placed on User:Tehshakur/sandbox requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. 🔥YesI'mOnFire🔥(ContainThisEmber?) 12:52, 21 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Deb. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you.
Hello, Tehshakur. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.Deb (talk) 13:38, 21 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

New editor didn't RTFM completely and broke a rule. Will complete training before retrying my article

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you:
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Yamla (talk) 14:04, 30 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who accepted the request.

Request reason:

My account was banned indefinitely from editing because my submission made it appear that my account was being used for advertising or promotion. That is not my intent but after extensive reading of the appropriate guides on WP as well as on other sources I believe I understand what I did wrong. I am committed to providing excellent content to Wikipedia incompliance with the organization's policies. I will not intentionally damage or disrupt Wikipedia. My initial draft did not prove/demonstrate notability of the subject and it appeared to be original research as opposed to material that has been collected and organized from reliable sources. My offline draft now contains short and full citations and would be characterized as both Primary and Secondary reliable/reputable sources. I have included examples at the end of this post. My work is in IT/Cloud but I have a lifetime interest in medicine, especially orthopedic and maxilofacial surgery. I learned about the Craniofacial Distraction technique that Dr. McCarthy teaches and I feel that I could make a constructuve contribution to Wikipedia by editing, enhancing, and contributing content related to this field of research. In addition I am a Vespa Scooter collector and look forward to working on content in that area as well. For example the Vespa page lists many Vespa models but few of those model names have subpages summarizing and differentiating them. I am qualified to do the research and produce edits in that area. I hope this explanation is sufficient for approving this unblock request. Accept reason:

I have reviewed this good block and determined that you have met the requirements set for its lifting, with the caveat that — if you decide to submit to mainspace the article draft on which you were working that precipitated this block — you submit it via the WP:AFC process and do not introduce it directly. Failure to do so may or may not result in a reapplication of the block. Thank you for your interest in Wikipedia! Chetsford (talk) 23:22, 25 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
