Infobox highlights

edit

You might not have been aware, but Wikipedia:WikiProject Baseball/Player style advice lists highlights that are generally included in a bio's infobox. Feel free to get a new consesus at WT:BASEBALL if you have any concerns. Regards.—Bagumba (talk) 04:44, 14 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

In case you missed it All-Star MVP was not on the list.[1]Bagumba (talk) 05:10, 14 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

ASG MVP

edit

Robbie Cano had his on so I just started doing others and it makes no sense to have ALCS/NLCS and not All-Star Game that's a huge accomplishment that fans should see when they're on the players page. I'm not trying to break rules or anything, but that just seems a bit weird. TJ Reilly (talk) 05:14, 14 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Understandable. Like I said, you probably didn't know about past convention. Nobody likes seeing their work get undone, which is why I suggested discussing this at WT:BASEBALL to see if people are OK before you invest more time on it.—Bagumba (talk) 05:17, 14 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
Also, I had noticed that you were adding Lou Gehrig Memorial Award, which someone else was reverting, so wanted to make sure you were aware about the conflict.—Bagumba (talk) 05:19, 14 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
Oh yeah it's all good.

Cycle

Please stop adding hitting for the cycle in the infobox per Wikipedia:WikiProject Baseball/Player style advice.--Yankees10 00:13, 17 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Muboshgu. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Jack Morris, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. – Muboshgu (talk) 01:10, 11 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

The Tigers announced that Morris and Trammell's numbers would be retired. Do you think you could edit it for me? I don't know how lol

I'd rather teach you how to fish than give you a fish. The first step is to find a reliable source saying that their numbers will be retired. Then, add your text with the reference directly after it, using the "ref" html tags around the reference. – Muboshgu (talk) 01:22, 11 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Trammell and Morris will have their numbers retired in 2018, but it hasn't happened yet. – Muboshgu (talk) 20:40, 14 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Buffalo Sabres, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Yosemiter (talk) 00:29, 24 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

In regards to their Conference Championships, from 1974 to 1981 the Prince of Wales Trophy was awarded to the Wales Conference regular season winner as the playoffs were interconference. The top 16 teams qualified and were seeded 1–16, hence no playoff conference champion could be awarded. That would mean even their 1975 Conf. Title was awarded that way as well (as they moved on to the Stanley Cup finals by defeating Montreal in the semis, and both teams had defeated a team that was in the opposite conf furing the quarters, CHI and VAN respectively).   Hello, I'm Muboshgu. Your recent edit to the page J. A. Happ appears to have added premature information about a reported sports transaction, so it has been removed for now. The transaction is based on anonymous sources and/or awaiting an official announcement. If you believe the transaction has been completed, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. – Muboshgu (talk) 19:06, 26 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

The trades

edit

I only do these edits when they are done deals from the man Ken Rosenthal himself once they are announced. Am I ever wrong or premature with them? No.

TJ Reilly (talk) 02:24, 1 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
If Rosenthal cites unnamed sources, WP:RSBREAKING applies. Making the trade look like it has completed when it was only reported is WP:OR. Regards.—Bagumba (talk) 04:49, 1 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
