Thanks for reducing the trivia in the Lexus LS article

Barnstar
Hello I was looking at the Coral Reef artical in Wikipedia the other day and I clicked on the picture at the top of the page and I seen your username there. Simliar to the band Enigma so I clicked on it to see what it was. I have seen the Lexus articals as well and I can see you put a lot of hard work and time on those articals. So therefore I award you this barnstar for it. But since I gave you this barnstar can I ask you for a favor? Can you give me one too? Look at my contributions I have helped undoing vandalism for quite some time now. If you would like to you can put The RickK Anti-Vandalism Barnstar on my talk page. I would greatly appreciated. Thank You. Here you go.

The flag of Taiwan
I have to apologize for my English first, but I think you can understand... I am not sure whether you know it or not. The picture of the flag of Taiwan you put on your page IS NOT the current official one. It is the flag only used by Pro-green supporters here in Taiwan. The real flag that represent Taiwan is the flag of "the Republic of China"(not to be confused with "the People's ROC")I don't know you chose the present one is due to political stand or not, however, I think it will be better to use the ROC flag. Just my personal comment... ps. Thank you for your contributions on editing the article of EVA Air... Tsungyenlee 17:37, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

Re: Help with Vandalism
I thought about it, but attempting to revert a vandal with several sockpuppets won't get anywhere if he isn't blocked. I'd just ignore him and let SSP do its job. Phony Saint 00:58, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

S-Class timeline
Just an idea-perhaps we should create an S-class navigation box with links to all sedans and coupes of the S-Class to make navigation between the chassis code titles articles easier... then again maybe that would be overkill-you decide ;-) BTW: Great Job on those articles! Signaturebrendel 20:53, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the idea, I was just thinking of something along those lines. I will definitely look into it. And thanks for the comments. :) Enigma3542002 21:39, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
- It is done. I went for a simple approach: Template:Mercedes-Benz S-Class lineage. All articles have the timeline and the bottom next to the whole company's road timeline. Enigma3542002 08:43, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
- Also a new generations box has been added towards the top of the S-Class article. Enigma3542002 22:48, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
Photo RMS Queen Mary
Hi, I'm Karel Boomappel, member of the Dutch Wikipedia. I made an article about the RMS Queen Mary and I would like to know whether I am allowed to show your photo on my page.
Karel Boomappel
- Yes, the photo (originally uploaded on Flickr here: http://flickr.com/photos/flipin_sweet/419755797/) is licensed under cc-by-sa-2.0, you can upload it again to the Dutch Wikipedia. Adjusted version by me here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:RMS_Queen_Mary.jpg Enigma3542002 06:45, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
- Feel free to download either version, make edits, and post it on Wikipedia. Just be sure to include the original Flickr link and the licensing. Let me know if you need any additional help! Enigma3542002 06:47, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:LS_first_gen_testing.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Orphaned non-free image (Image:LS first gen testing.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:LS first gen testing.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 20:42, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Treasure Island logo.png
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Treasure Island logo.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:04, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

600h L fuel economy
Thanks for correcting the spacing in my edit. Feel free to do anything else to that edit too, including removing it altogether; it seems a bit awkward to me the way I wrote it. But I thought it was better than the wrong/misleading info that was there before... Thanks for all your work on this article, too. --Steve Pucci | talk 21:32, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
- No problem, your contributions are appreciated! For now I think the info is fine to be there. One possibility is splitting that section off into its own article, like the Lexus RX 400h one. However I'm not certain if that is necessary at this point. The fuel economy info is fine for now. As for the rest of the article, I'm hoping that it regains GA status someday...lots of improvements have been made thus far. Thanks for the comments! Enigma3542002 22:01, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
Photo edits
If you ever want the original uncropped version of anything you're rotating, just ask. I imagine it would be much easier to do with a lot more space around the edges. IFCAR 10:41, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the offer! Yes, it would be easier if the whole uncropped photo were there. I really appreciate all the photos you have taken for WikiProject Automobiles. Enigma3542002 10:43, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
- If you ever want that, just let me know which image(s) and I'll upload to ImageShack in the uncropped, full-resolution version and pass along the URL. IFCAR 12:04, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, I didn't quite think it through enough. When I tried to upload at ImageShack and Photobucket, the resolution was reduced. If you could send me your email (just message me at comments.ifcar@gmail.com so I'll have it) I'll reply with the images at their full resolutions. Or, I can just give you lower-resolution PhotoBucket links. Let me know, and sorry for the change. IFCAR 01:17, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
- I sent an e-mail, however if it's too much trouble the links will be fine. Enigma3542002 03:02, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
Image source problem with Image:Lexus GS.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Lexus GS.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 16:11, 11 September 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. 91.65.124.74 16:11, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
- Thx for the notice, but I did not upload this photo, I merely adjusted the contrast. I have referred the matter to User:Sfoskett who is the original source of the picture. Enigma3542002 19:03, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
Possibly unfree Image:RMS Queen Elizabeth.jpg
An image that you uploaded or altered, Image:RMS Queen Elizabeth.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images because its copyright status is disputed. If the image's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the image description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. SchuminWeb (Talk) 23:22, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

Fair use disputed for Image:JCOTY.png
Thanks for uploading Image:JCOTY.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:56, 16 September 2007 (UTC)

Hello
Hello. Yes, I have gotten your message. I have just been busy, not really that active around the community, just making an edit or two. Don't worry though, I will make sure to clear up some time to examine those articles and let you know my opinion. As for Lexus LS, I believe that the article is of excellent quality, and that you should renominate it for good article status right away. I also believe that perhaps Lexus should be put up for peer review and perhaps be taken to FAC. Karrmann 19:49, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for your message! Just so you know, in the past few days some new IPs have complained about the Lexus article, I am trying to address their complaints. I guess than I will self-nominate the LS article for review. I was hoping also to get the Mercedes S-Class article improved further. Regards Enigma3542002 19:54, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
Thank you for your message
Thank you for your msg Enigma3542002. I think you’re doing a great job with your articles and editing, keep up the good work!
I have also noticed the heated discussion around the Lexus articles and I appreciate that this is probably taking up a lot of your time. I will therefore not make any further comments on the article talk pages for now to avoid complicating the situation.
I would however appreciate if you could get back in touch with me once the changes have been made and a direction for the article has been agreed. As I have discussed on the talk page, I feel the Lexus Symphony Orchestra is a worthy addition, but I will respect whatever decision you, as one of the main editors, will make regarding its inclusion/reference.
And last, I am still happy to help with sourcing facts and information because of my affiliation with Lexus. If there is anything you need, I will try my best to fetch this for you.
Also, for future correspondence, you can contact me on [e-mail].

Mercedes S- Class
Aight, I finished evaulating both Lexus LS and Mercedes-Benz S-Class. I think you should resubmit Lexus LS to be a GA, while The Mercedes S Class article needs work. First, all of the refs are improperly done. You need to use the citation templates for each ref, as well as formatting them with the {{reflist|2}} template. Also, you need to expand some generation sections, as well as add more references. But, it is off to a good start. BTW, right now, there is a guy under many different IPs that is pushing POV on all of the GM minivan's pages. Can you please help me contain him? Karrmann 21:47, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
