List of messiah claimants

edit

Hi SyedAfzaal123.

I think your issue with List of messiah claimants is to do with which sections entries appear in, not with the entries themselves. Rather than remove entries, that just get put back, I think it would be better for you to make suggestions on Talk:List of messiah claimants about how best to group and describe the entries.

That said, I think you may have misunderstood the meaning of the section titles anyway. There are sections with names like:

  • Jewish messiah claimants
  • Christian messiah claimants
  • Muslim messiah claimants

Now, of course, mainstream Muslims and Jews do not accept that there has been any messiah yet and Christians only recognise one messiah, not all the ones listed. So these sections are certainly not saying that these religions recognise the claims listed, because they do not and this should be well understood by the readers already. What the section names actually mean to do is just to group the messiah claimants by which religion they came from, rather than any separate religion they founded by their claim. After all, not all of them were "successful" enough to even form a separate religion so it would be very hard to group them in that way.

I hope that makes sense. If you still think the list needs changes then please go to Talk:List of messiah claimants and say what you want changed, and explain why, so it can be discussed. --DanielRigal (talk) 14:40, 3 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
