Edits to Sarah Thornton edit

Hi. Thought I would amplify, since I wasn't sure you'd see my comment in the Sarah Thornton edit history.

Those who modify articles about themselves in Wikipedia are encouraged to identify themselves on their personal page, and on the discussion page of their Wiki article.WP:COI When an editor appears to be acting good faith and to the point, as your last suggests,[1], the declaration helps others understand your point of view. (There are quite a few notables in Wiki who have identified themselves, and the act of identification itself rarely causes issues, that I have experienced.)

Unfortunately there are editors who go to elaborate lengths to do bad faith edits and conceal their identity. Saying who you are immediately distances you from them. Regards, Piano non troppo (talk) 12:30, 6 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

I answered you a little more fully on my page, if you were looking earlier. I realize I should have been clearer that I'm not one of your professional colleagues making anonymous commentary. Regards, Piano non troppo (talk) 18:38, 6 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
