Image copyright problem with File:ChiCath.JPG edit

Thanks for uploading File:ChiCath.JPG. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 09:33, 18 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Moving pages edit

Hi there.

I note you tried to rename List of United States presidential pets and List of children of the Presidents of the United States - please be careful when doing this.

If you copy the material from one page to another, and then redirect the old page, it means that the page history is broken, and it becomes almost impossible to tell who wrote the material (as well as posing copyright problems) - it just shows up as having been written in one lump, by you, on the day you did the move. This is a problem for being able to check things, as I'm sure you can imagine! I've fixed it for the time being.

In most cases, you can rename a page simply by using the "move" tab, but if there's been editing under both titles then you'll have to get assistance - try listing it at Wikipedia:Requested moves and it should be dealt with fairly quickly. Shimgray | talk | 13:47, 26 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of St. Nicholas' Church, West Itchenor edit

A tag has been placed on St. Nicholas' Church, West Itchenor requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Cheers! Scapler (talk) 01:04, 14 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

The page is no longer being considered for deletion, since the Grade I status firmly establishes its notability. Cheers! Scapler (talk) 04:06, 12 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for File:LinekerCharterhouseALevel.jpeg edit

Thanks for uploading File:LinekerCharterhouseALevel.jpeg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 19:05, 24 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for File:LinekerCharterhouseALevel.jpeg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:LinekerCharterhouseALevel.jpeg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 13:05, 28 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Edward Thorne (musician) edit

The article Edward Thorne (musician) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable musician

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. OCNative (talk) 10:48, 15 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
