Speedy deletion nomination of Bryan Le (RiceGum) edit

Hello Spideygamerxd,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Bryan Le (RiceGum) for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Cotton2 (talk) 05:35, 21 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Deleted article edit

Hey, I just thought I'd explain why the article was deleted. Ultimately it's because you didn't show where RiceGum would pass notability guidelines. This is incredibly difficult to establish for YT personalities, to the point where I wrote an essay about this here. The basic gist of that essay is that the amount of subscribers on YT (or elsewhere) doesn't matter on Wikipedia for a number of reasons and ultimately notability can only be established by RiceGum having received coverage in independent and reliable sources like articles about him in newspapers or on websites like IGN. It's insanely hard for YT people to get this in general, which is why a lot of people with millions of subscribers don't have articles. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 01:52, 23 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Ricegum edit

Do not create articles about living people that are entirely negative in tone and unsourced. Wikipedia has a policy of verifiability and any negative information we use must be reliably sourced, and our articles must be balanced. Negative, unreferenced biographies of living people are not tolerated by Wikipedia and are speedily deleted. Under section G10 of the criteria for speedy deletion, the page has been nominated for deletion. Users who continue to create or repost such pages and images in violation of our biographies of living persons policy may be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
