Whoa! edit

If you are going to make those stubs, please do one at at time and expand it and add a taxobox. It is much more helpful this way, than to just to stub them as you are doing and move on to the next. Many thanks, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 18:17, 8 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Well done. It looks like you're getting the hang of it. :) Basically you can just steal the taxobox from another, similar article, and swap in the right info. Many thanks. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 18:58, 8 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

A similar species will have almost all the info exactly the same. All you usually need to do is swap in the right genus and authority. Easy. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 19:02, 8 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Whoa again. Please hang on before you create even more, like Limonia nubeculosa. Please check the similar article listed in the table at Wikipedia:Requested articles/Images. Please use the taxobox in that article and swap in the right info. Otherwise we have to go in and do it ourselves. It would be a great help if you'd go back and do this for the stubs you've created, before moving on. Many thanks. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 19:08, 8 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Was that not correct. Spid 31 (talk) 19:10, 8 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
Actually, you're adding very incomplete taxoboxes that you're building by hand. It's better for all if you improve the taxoboxes for the stubs you've already created in the manner stated above. You seem to just be pushing ahead making these stubs regardless of my advice. Please, please, please, this is a collegial type of place where we work together. Please try to fix the ones you already started or else you cause us to go and fix up your work. Please, I urge you to stop making these stubs until you've fixed up the first ones a bit. Many thanks. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 19:22, 8 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
Ok, now you're just continuing to make stubs with no content. Please fix these first: Ryuthela tanikawai and Ryuthela secundaria. Please don't just ignore me. This is a place where we work together. Thank you. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 19:43, 8 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Myke Collins edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Myke Collins requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Pichpich (talk) 14:16, 10 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Keep up the good work edit

Thank you. Try to expand them. Lots of juicy info out there. Maybe they're poisonous. :) Anna Frodesiak (talk) 19:03, 10 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Not so good edit

Again, please don't create articles with no text as you did here: Spinestis nikita. Also, please communicate. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 19:25, 10 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

ANI notice edit

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. Cheers, Riley Huntley talk No talkback needed; I'll temporarily watch here. 03:04, 11 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

  • Spid 31, no administrative action will be taken as a result of this thread; your contributions are appreciated, though it would be a very good idea to listen to the advice of other editors (Anna Frodesiak is a highly valued contributor and is here to help you). Please start/continue communicating; it will make life much easier for all of us. Thanks, Drmies (talk) 15:29, 11 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
  • This is getting silly. You're mass-creating things that have no content except for an image (kindly provided and organized for you by another editor, whom you have yet to thank for her work) and a link to sites such as this, instead of to a reliable source. I do agree that such creations are getting disruptive. Drmies (talk) 15:32, 13 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Blackline tilefish edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Blackline tilefish requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Speedy deletion nomination of Hamadryas alicia edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Hamadryas alicia requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Speedy deletion nomination of Dicranoptycha fuscescens edit

A tag has been placed on Dicranoptycha fuscescens, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Moreover, please add more verifiable sources, not only 3rd party sources. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this:   which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Σσς. 19:52, 13 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

I declined the deletion on this article, but it needs work to make it more informative to all readers.. a simple narrative sentence based on the taxonomy would be awesome. --Versageek 20:02, 13 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for July 19 edit

Hi. When you recently edited Limnophila schranki, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Limnophila (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Your recent stubs edit

Again, please add a lead sentence to the stubs. You obviously can read this, yet simply don't communicate. It would be really helpful if you actually made stubs that included the species in the taxobox, and a lead sentence. Really, we try to work together here. I not waste my time restocking the page from which you get these images. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 00:04, 21 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Bare URLs edit

Hi there! Could you please not use bare URLs in your articles, for example in Fairton, New Zealand. Please see what I changed in the article. Thanks! TAP 12:43, 25 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Alford Forest edit

The article Alford Forest has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I looked at the reference, I see a page with latitude and longitude. This article isn't worth keeping unless someone significantly expands it and provides a foundation other than a statement that it's a place in New Zealand.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Go Phightins! Recently created articles edit

I noticed you recently created a series of suburbs in South East Queensland such as Bonogin, Queensland, Cedar Creek, Queensland and Gilston, Queensland. It is good that you did this as we need articles for all those places. However the quality of these stub articles wasn't high.

I hope you stick around and expand these articles you started. I also hope you take the time to pay attention to these details. I know it can seem like a lot to learn but since you have been creating quite a few articles I thought I would point these out for you. - Shiftchange (talk) 13:42, 25 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

{{New Zealand-geo-stub}} edit

Hi Spid31 - just letting you know that the stub template redirect you made at {{New Zealand-geo-stub}} has been deleted. There is a long-standing naming convention that stub template names (including redirects) never include spaces. In any case, since both {{NewZealand-geo-stub}} and a redirect at {{NZ-geo-stub}} exist, there's little need for another redirect, especially since the template is only supposed to be used for places which straddle the borders of several New Zealand regions (the articles which you made were better served with {{CanterburyNZ-geo-stub}}). Sorry about that, and keep up the good work with new NZ articles :) Grutness...wha? 11:39, 22 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
