I have now more or less left Wikipedia, again, but you never know, I might suddenly decide to just randomly start editing again.

Tornado Emergency Article edit

Thank you for that link to assist me in verifying bulletins and adding citations for the Tornado Emergency article. I finished the table using the information already listed on the page plus two new entires. Next (later tonight and tomorrow), I intend to go back and check the locations, warned counties, # of bulletins issued, and citation links for most of the entries and make sure everything is as correct as I can make it, adding missing information when I can find it. I probably will not search for missing entries, since this would be way too time consuming, but if you know of any Tornado Emergencies missing, feel free to add them. Only bulletins issued by the NWS that include the "Tornado Emergency" text are official and should be added.

Let me know if you have any additional suggestions or links. Thank you! Weatherworld (talk) 00:02, 8 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Derecho peer review edit

I saw this and took a look at the lead section and synopsis section, and I reworded a couple things as well as linked a couple terms. I don't want this to count as part of the peer review, however, as I am relatively knowledgeable in meteorology. It looks good to me, but I don't know how your "average Joe" will find the article. Ks0stm If you reply here, please leave me a {{Talkback}} message on my talk page. 14:32, 14 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Glad to help - thanks for the thanks! Ruhrfisch ><>°° 01:26, 21 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Reviewer granted edit

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Juliancolton (talk) 18:43, 15 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. WikiProject Weather: Map Dot & Template/Infobox Colors edit

Dear project member, This message is being sent out to encourage new ideas and feedback on those proposed in regard to the colors debate for WikiProject Weather. For those who are unaware of what's been happening over the last year, I will give a brief summary. We have been discussing proposed changes to the colors of the dots on tropical cyclone maps and templates and infoboxes across the entire weather project in order to solve issues related to the limited contrast between colors for both normal vision as well as the various types of color blindness (MOS:ACCESS). We had partially implemented a proposal earlier this year, however, it was objected to by a number of people and additional issues were presented that made it evident this wasn't the optimal solution. We tried to come up with other solutions to address the issues related to color contrast, however, none of them gained traction and no consensus was generated.

We need your help and I encourage you to propose your own scale and give feedback on those already listed. Keep in mind that we are NOT making a decision on any individual proposal at this time. We are simply allowing people to make proposals and cultivate them given feedback from other project members. Please visit our project page for additional details. The proposal phase will close no later than December 31st at 23:59 UTC. NoahTalk 04:08, 21 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
