RfC: Jimi Hendrix

Hi! Would you care to comment at this RfC regarding the article Jimi Hendrix? It is about whether "acid rock" belongs in the infobox or not. Dan56 (talk) 04:32, 15 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

GA review for Bass Maltings, Sleaford

I just wanted to say thank you for undertaking this review last weekend. It's much appreciated. Happy editing, —Noswall59 (talk) 11:43, 20 July 2015 (UTC).Reply

I enjoyed it. Do you have any more lined up? SilkTork ✔Tea time 11:46, 20 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
Hi again, SilkTork, and thank you for your recent review of Westholme House. I am currently working on getting as many Sleaford-related articles to GA as possible. I've nominated the church and two of the four school articles for GA. I intend to take the other two (Kesteven and Sleaford High School and Sleaford Joint Sixth Form) to GA at some point, plus Sleaford Castle, Sleaford railway station and anything else I can work on. The River Slea would also be nice, but I am no geographer. Anyway, thanks once more for the review and your comments, it's all much appreciated. Perhaps for the articles I have left at GAN, it might be best to leave them to another reviewer (I think Westholme makes this your third), but I am very grateful for the reviews you've undertaken so far. Cheers, —Noswall59 (talk) 09:10, 24 July 2015 (UTC).Reply
No worries, I'll leave your GANs in the pool for others. Good luck with the Sleaford series. If you get frustrated with waiting, give me a nudge and I'll do another one. SilkTork ✔Tea time 10:19, 24 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Deleted Pages

Hi, My user name is crystalh1982 - and you had offered me access to a deleted page for artist Kelly Hutchison and I am interested in taking you up on this offer as I worked very hard to write and add references to this page. I apologize if adding to your talk page is not the proper way to do so, but I would like to obtain this if you could be so kind. My email is crystalh1982 at Yahoo dot com if you need to email me - thank you and have a nice day!

Done: User:Crystalh1982/Kelly Hutchison. And I have put a link on your user page: User:Crystalh1982. SilkTork ✔Tea time 07:01, 26 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Scary Monsters (and Super Creeps) (song)

I thought that the first word of a title in brackets should be capitalized. If I am right then the above move was incorrect, if you are right then there are 1000s of articles that are supposed to be moved. Thanks for you clarification, I am never sure on some of the rules! --Richhoncho (talk) 06:59, 26 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

I just double checked this. I was going by WP:BANDNAME, in which the word "and" is not capitalised, and that we don't capitalise words simply because they are in brackets - so Barrett (album). But you are correct - MOS:CT, on which WP:BANDNAME depends, says "For titles with subtitles or parenthetical phrases, capitalize as if they were separate titles (e.g. "(Don't Fear) The Reaper")". So I will go back and undo my changes. Thanks for the nudge. SilkTork ✔Tea time 07:35, 26 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Man Who Sold the World covers

Hi, you probably gathered that I fully agreed with your re-ordering of the covers but I wanted to check if you meant to discard the German one. I'm not overly fussed because I figure it's the least-known of the covers (except in Germany?!) but it is referenced in the cover art section so if the image goes then the text probably should too. Cheers, Ian Rose (talk) 08:18, 26 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

I tend to follow the guidance in WP:IMAGE RELEVANCE with regard to multiple images, and to look for the encyclopedic value. Outside of the best known cover, and the original release cover, there is going to be editorial judgement. Some albums, of course, may have multiple covers, and there is limited value in displaying them all. However, if there is a cover other than the original or best known which has a reliable source commentating on it as being of particular interest, then there is a plausible argument for including it and the text commenting on it. This indicates that there is some interest in the cover, so I would agree that commentary on the cover along with an image of it would be worthwhile - though the image would be best placed in the Cover art section rather than in the infobox. The official site gives details of the designer. SilkTork ✔Tea time 09:25, 26 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

When Lilacs Last in the Dooryard Bloom'd

You made some good comments about this article and seem familiar with the topic, more familiar than I am, I was only the nominator, and the author may not speak, - might you help to address recent citation concerns? - Thanks for the cup of tea, enjoyed this time. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:20, 27 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

It looks like the article has now been accepted as a GA. I'll put checking those cites on my list of things to do, though as a non-priority, so it may be some time before I get around to it. I'm glad you enjoyed the tea! Regards SilkTork ✔Tea time 18:26, 27 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
