Hi everyone. I'm new. I literally only joined yesterday. Anyway feel free to tell me if I'm going about editing or generally using Wikipedia wrong on this page. This is my first time editing anything on Wikipedia.

Your experience with Teahouse

edit

Hello Sigurdrífa,

I am working on a project to support the development of current and future newcomer mentorship programs on Wikipedia.

Because you recently participated in the Teahouse, I would like to interview you about your experience in this program.

If you are interested, please email me at gmugar [at] syr.edu and hopefully we can find a convenient time to conduct an interview via Skype or Google hangout.

Thanks,

Hooray! You created your Teahouse profile!

Thank you for introducing yourself and contributing to Wikipedia! If you have any questions feel free to drop me a line at my talk page. Happy Editing!

Thanks Anastasia.

You're very welcome :) Just so you know, every time you write something on a talk page, you should "sign" your post with 4 tildes (~~~~). This will leave your username and the date. ~ Anastasia (talk) 00:51, 14 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Oh yeah sorry, I forgot about that :( Sigurdrifa (talk) 01:00, 14 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Your recent edits

edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 07:56, 14 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Eiríkur í Vogsósum, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Folktales. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Your rename

edit

Hi Sigurdrífa, I noticed that you made this edit to your userpage, except that you made it with "Sigurdrifa" (your old account name) instead of "Sigurdrífa". You'll have to log out of "Sigurdrifa" and log into "Sigurdrífa", otherwise you'll be editing with your old account name even though I have renamed you. Let me know if you have any questions. Best. Thanks, Acalamari! Sigurdrífa (talk) 23:23, 15 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

You're welcome! :) Happy to help. Acalamari 09:13, 16 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
