What am I doing wrong? Someone please help?

- That draft has two main issues. Firstly, major parts cite no sources - there are none in the first half-dozen paragraphs. Secondly, the draft's tone is inappropriate for an encyclopedia article. For example, "Shepherd spends his time doing positive things"? That's pure opinion - I expect the Sheperd of thirty years ago would also have considered what he did at that time "positive". It reads more like a motivational story than a biographical encyclopedia article. My suggestion would be to shorten it significantly and to more concentrate on what reliable third-party sources report about Sheperd. Huon (talk) 05:44, 10 August 2013 (UTC)

It's really not ripe for main space yet, and from here, you have some more time to work on it. Before you do that though, make sure Shepherd meets our criteria for inclusion, because if he doesn't, any work on the article will be wasted. After that, take a look at this guide for writing your first article. If I were you, once you start working on the article, start by cleaning up the references.
