October 2013 edit

Hello, I'm Elizium23. Your recent edit to the page Xkcd appears to have added incorrect information, so I have removed it for now. If you believe the information was correct, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Elizium23 (talk) 01:35, 19 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Flipnote edit

Yeah, a few more third-party (i.e. not Nintendo, etc.) sources would help. Specifically, ones from sources listed as "reliable" at WP:VG/RS are preferred, as those sites are considered the most notable. I think Kotaku is the only currently listed source there. It does help that the app has demonstrated popularity in Japan; you should mention this if anyone ever takes the article to AFD.

Personally, I don't care. If it were up to me, we'd keep articles for apps and games more trivial than this if users cared to create them. That wouldn't be in line with Wikipedia policy, though. Tezero (talk) 20:04, 12 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Leopard / keyboard edit

I saw your edit and, being a big xkcd fan, recognized it as likely a reference to this xkcd comic. While amusing it wasn't appropriate, so thank you for catching that. I can't seem to find who changed that to "leopard", but if that one was in the article other little joke edits might have been introduced, just wanted to let you know that, and I'll try to look through the article for any other things like that so that they can be corrected as well. - Aoidh (talk) 23:39, 14 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Flipnote Hatena edit

Hello there! I have recently reverted your latest edit on the Flipnote Studio page, in which you removed content from the Flipnote Hatena section. I reviewed your reasoning, and understand that your intentions were to improve the article. I agree with you; most of the Hatena section is terrible and in need of serious sourcing. However, topics such as Stars, Categories and History were important parts of the Flipnote Hatena service and should not be deleted altogether. I will find sources for most topics mentioned and likely rewrite the Hatena section entirely sometime in the near future so that it is of higher quality. Thank you for your help to Wikipedia; our purpose is to provide credible, high-quality information, and that is precisely what your edits were meant to do. Before I end this message, I must say that I admire your dedication to editing articles based on specific subjects. I, too, prefer to edit pages based on specific topics such as Nintendo. Also, I have seen your work on the Flipnote Studio 3D page, and have found it very helpful. Thank you again, Squiddaddy (talk) 22:06, 19 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
