Please refrain from hijacking pages as you did with GAFFER. Should you believe the subject you were writing about deserves an article, please use the Article Wizard, which has an option to create a draft version that you can then get feedback on. Also see Wikipedia's disambiguation guideline which indicates how to handle separate subjects with similar names. If you continue to hijack an existing article, you may be blocked from editing. If you have any questions, you are always welcome to ask me on my talk page. PRAHLADbalaji (M•T•AC) This message was left at 17:50, 2 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

I am not hijacking this article. I undeleted by admin in order to create this page. Serankail (talk) 17:57, 2 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
Make a new page about it then PRAHLADbalaji (M•T•AC) This message was left at 15:53, 3 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Btw, do you have a conflict of interest with GAFFER? PRAHLADbalaji (M•T•AC) This message was left at 15:54, 3 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Nfitz Sorry. If somebody wants to start a new article but edits an existing page, I will move the new page to a separate title. PRAHLADbalaji (M•T•AC) This message was left at 20:14, 3 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
Prahlad balaji It wasn't an existing page. And I've already created Gaffer (magazine) as I previously noted in the AFD. The only step that Serankail didn't do was redelete the undeletion ... which could have been accomplished retroactively by any admin. Yes, the name of the page for the magazine was arguable ... but stop WP:BITEing. Nfitz (talk) 20:19, 3 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
nfitz nono you’re misunderstanding. I said that if you want to create a new page, then you should actually create a new page. PRAHLADbalaji (M•T•AC) This message was left at 20:22, 3 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Serankail and Nfitz, I just want to clarify that if you want to create a page regarding a topic not already on WP, you should create a new article instead of modifying an existing one, which is called hijacking. PRAHLADbalaji (M•T•AC) This message was left at 20:51, 3 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Stop now User:Prahlad balaji. There WAS no existing page until Sernkail came along ... Serankail had literally just requested the decade-old text be refunded. You can't be penalized for deleting something you had added. As an experienced editor you should know better than continuing this biting behaviour, and own up to your very minor error, that only becomes an issue because you won't let it go, and would sooner chase away a new editor instead.. Nfitz (talk) 21:00, 3 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
nfitz Ok, I’m sorry. It was a minor error on my part. Serankail isn’t chased away btw. I have also clarified the misunderstanding. What do you think I should do now? PRAHLADbalaji (M•T•AC) This message was left at 21:07, 3 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Welcome!

Hello, Serankail, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created may not conform to some of Wikipedia's content protocols, and may not be retained. In short, the topic of an article must be notable and have already been the subject of publication by reliable and independent sources.

Please review Your first article for an overview of the article creation process. The Article Wizard is available to help you create an article, where it will be reviewed and considered for publication. For information on how to request a new article that can be created by someone else, see Requested articles. If you are stuck, come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can help you through the processes.
