An IP account (User:69.129.170.102) that is clearly not only the address of, but the same person as, the indefinitely-blocked User:Funwisconsinguy2007 has appeared in World Series and Talk:World Series#Classifying the trivia. (He raises the same issues in the same way.) Dealing with his participation in the World Series by itself hasn't yet reached the stage where anyone would call for disciplinary action, although he's often let his emotions make him belligerent, discourteous and childish in many of his communications (before he characteristically blanks them out). We have a umm... 'situation' with this IP at his talk page. Can you please explain to him about what he has done and what was wrong about it? Several users have tried to reason with him, but he still keeps on saying the same thing and doesn't look to me as if he's going to accept what we say. This is a sole purpose account, all except for one other article not related to the used, and in the history of that article you will fing Usedfan as well. Closing the RfC

Seicer, it appears we’ve extended the voting on Tony’s RfC for another 48 hours. It is currently scheduled to close at 23:59 UTC on Tuesday, December 9. Can I get your help to A) either close it at that time, or B) extend it further if you so choose?

As you can see at the top of the page, another editor professed the need for (much) more time to ponder the deep, existential meaning of it all. The editor expanded on the shear magnitude of the task here on the talk page. I think we can use a bit of WP:COMMONSENSE and correctly deduce that the consensus on the three questions in Tony’s RfC doesn’t have a WP:SNOWBALL’S chance in hell of changing by going any longer. • Ahh, your common sense snuck in there on your response. But no such luck. It quickly became apparent (to me anyway) that the issue wasn’t whether or not the consensus has a chance in hell of changing by running it any longer, but is one of having it close no sooner than the *competing* RfC so its proponents don’t feel that there is an unfair advantage and skullduggery going on. Since that other RfC is so complex, it is going to run the full 30 days; ergo, both shall stop at the same time.

I suggest you poke your head into the proceedings early (UTC) on Dec. 25th. Clearly “bad cese be upon all of this” and both WT:MOSNUM and WT:MOS will need uninvolved admins to watch over it all and piss on the magnesium fires that will undoubtedly break out. Uncivility, Hate speech

First and foremost I would like to sincerely ask you for your help. Your input and patience is appreciated. I want to bring to your attention this. HD86 has made numerous comments such as "The Assyrians are EXTINCT people of ancient Mesopotamia whose name was stolen by some modern politicians and used in reference to the modern Syriacs. To label the modern Syriacs by "Assyrians" and to claim that "The Assyrian people trace their origins to the population of the pre-Islamic Levant" is indeed stupidity in its purest form." These comments are inflammatory, racist, unhistprical and outrageous. This user continues to deny that a whole race even exists. He needs to be wiki disciplined. This is unacceptable inflammtory denialist behavior. The equivalent of his statments would be that jews or arabs do not exist. Do you not see the point. His languge is very hateful and dimeaning to those of us involved in the project. If you take a look at his history he has similar incompetent statemetns regarding other controverisal topics. I ask for assistance in order to remove this hateful user from this discussion. He has denied the existence of an entire race that through ample ancient and modern evidence has existed for thousands of years. I will be waiting for your response. I must stress this is only one of many disturbing comments this user has made. Thanks for your input my friend. I have left similar messages to other admins for more input. I have a tab when I am viewing a user's contributions that has "Comp". It took a while to sort through the user's edits with it, but it does come in handy for a lot of SSP cases. You may think so, but then you are not the one who has been trying to contain the wikidrama initiated by Ottava Rima over the course of the last week. It's infuriating the way Rlevse dropped out of the blue to hand this user more ammunition when we had finally looked like winding up this totally pointless time-wasting dispute. The fact that Rlevse has had virtually no involvement with DYK until this sudden intervention only makes it that much more galling.

Furthermore, I meant what I said about the policy-wonkishness. Regarding LL I'm not interested in getting involved. Earlier this year I created a Wikipedia article about his real person. It was later deleted, one of the reasons was that he deleted all information about himself on his homepages. (my sources). Then about two month ago I got a call from the local police, that he hat reported me for publishing private information. After a telephone interview the case was dismissed. Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini is possibly one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet, but just don't back him in a corner. This gentle guy once killed a man in the boxing ring. I would go more for Dick Butkus, who was captured on camera standing over a Detroit Lions player who had literally died on the field. Butkus didn't actually kill the guy, it was heart failure. But I recall something Butkus once said: "I would never hurt anyone. Unless it was something important, like a National Football League game." I don't know about an article, but certainly there's room for a category. "Famous sports deaths" is a little broad. How about athletes who died during the season, on or off the field. I'm thinking of Reds catcher Willard Hershberger, for example, who committed suicide during the 1940 season, the only recorded mid-season suicide; or Lyman Bostock, Angels, 1978, the only recorded murder of a ballplayer during the season; or the most obvious, Ray Chapman, Indians, who died after being hit in the head by a Carl Mays pitch in 1920. This is begging for a category! You'd have to be the one to do it. Two subjects I can't contribute anything to are sports and math, and I even thought it was dicey when I interviewed Frank Messina, the "Mets Poet". Turns out there is already a similar category, "Deaths among active Major League Baseball players", which Bostock, Hershberger, Chapman, and a bunch of others already appear. They apparently took the approach of "not yet retired", so for example Ed Delahanty and Roberto Clemente are on the list. However, there is no similar category for football players (or if there is, Hughes is not on it). In the case of boxing, there have been (not surprisingly) a number of deaths resulting from matches, including Mancini's victim, Duk Koo Kim, who is in the category "Deaths due to injuries sustained in boxing".
