Ovingham Middle School

edit

I have added the template Template:Underconstruction to Ovingham Middle School. It gives other editors proper warning that you are working on the article. Please remove it when you are satisfied with the article. Twiceuponatime (talk) 08:42, 23 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 15:28, 23 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for uploading File:Logo2008-1-.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. noq (talk) 10:24, 26 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Sorted the problem.

Sco1996 12:44, 26 April 2010 (UTC)

Unfortunately you have not sorted the problem. You originally stated that you found this image and did not know the copyright status and then added a claim to release it under a creative commons license as your own work - this is not how copyright works - if you do own the copyright then WP:Donating copyrighted materials will show how to do this properly. If you do not own the copyright then you cannot legally claim to. From the history of this image it seems unlikely that you own that image so please do not remove the copyright tag again without going through the WP:Donating copyrighted materials procedure. Failure to do this will be considered vandalism and if you persist you mat be banned from editing.noq (talk) 00:02, 29 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
I found out where the image came from and updated the information. I do not understand how it still needs to be corrected when I have already corrected it. If you bother me again, I will leave wikipedia and take of all the good edits I have made. Sco1996 07:24, 29 April 2010 (UTC)

If you look at the school website here you will see at the bottom that the school claims the copyright (of the page and everything on it). That you means you cannot upload the image to wikipedia. Twiceuponatime (talk) 09:33, 29 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

I got permission to use the picture. Sco1996 09:59, 29 April 2010 (UTC)
Seeing that this is a controversial issue, I have decided to remove the picture from all pages it is present on until the issue has been sorted. Sco1996 (talk) 10:06, 29 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Archiving pages

edit

Sorry I haven't done this myself so can't help you. There is nothing wrong with your page as it stands. It shows that you are making an effort, and appear to be honest, but are struggling with learning how to use wikipedia. Don't become disheartened, it just takes time.
