I want to revert...
this edit.... simply because I can't stand stuffed shirt edit summaries. Also... if you go sticking $5 words into music articles most readers (especially Yanks.... did I say that :-D) wil have to go stumbling to Wictionary to find out what the word means :-D . Thankfully I am in a library I just used a book ;-D HAHA! The Real Libs-speak politely 18:13, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

See User:Koda Niko Carrie. Not much there. But still using his userpage as a personal website none-the-less... right? Too strict of me. I could really care less. All I know is that 99% of his edits need to be reverted.... which is a royal pain. He needs a friendly Wikipedian to mentor him and show him the Wiki-ways of life. Jat clans
Scarian, thanks for responding. I may have over reacted with some of my concerns.
I have also looked at notability, and I shall perhaps try restrict some of the articles, but looking at Wikepedia, I see a number of articles on South Asian tribal groupings. In fact there are close 200 articles on various Jat related issues, so may be you have a point in the over kill. And I also accept some are badly written, and I have left a message on Pahari Sahib's user page, to discuss improving the quality of the Pakistan related pages. But I see you have deleted my entry on Muslim Rajput clans, which takes information from census commissioner's report on the 1911 census. I was orignally going to add to it to the Muslim Rajput page, but thought it was then going to be a bit long winded. I am quite happy to put this info on the Muslim Rajput page, but if I can access it again. Not sure how I can do that.
Secondly, I think most of the Jat articles relate to clans, just as we have entries on African and Native American tribes. South Asian (Afghan / Pakistani) society is essentially tribal. Tribes occupy tracts of territory, indeed the in the north west of Pakistan, the tribes their have autonomy. Many of these tribal groupings are in the news, so why are they are not notable. I see you deleted my entry on the Turkhel, who have just been involved with skirmiches with the Pakistani government.
To conclude, I am happy to restrict new entries, but some of the articles deleted are valid and make refrence to important clan communities in Pakistan.

Hi Scarian. I was wondering if you'd be willing to grant me the rollback function, as I often revert vandalism over several articles. Thanks. Timmeh! 21:57, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

That was the most ludicrous co-incidence, I was just at the "add new section" page for your talkpage to say, 'thanks for the support', when I got the new-messages barrier.

COI and neutrality question
Hello Scarian. There's a biography of a living person that I have worked on in the past, and two ip users have been removing a bit referenced information from it recently. The article concerns a former member of a band and the bit of informtation is about why he left the band. The information is referenced, and comes straight from the article subject from interviews. One editor claims he/she is a friend of the article subject and the other editor claims he is the article subject. The article subject apparently wants this bit of informtion removed. I have reverted the edits because of conflict of interest and neutrality. If these editors continue, what actions should I take? Thanks.-5- (talk) 05:33, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
- If they're IPs you can request that the article be protected. If they appear to be static IPs and protection doesn't work (after it expires) then you can ask an admin to block them. IPs are generally easily dealt with; it's when they start figuring out how to sock... Hope this helps! Thanks for your message and don't hesitate to ask for anything else. I'll always try my best to help :-) ScarianCall me Pat! 13:44, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

If User:Billkeever creates an article called William Keever... just how much COI is that breaking. The article is lifted almost intact, albeit with about every 5th word changed, from the US Army page about the athelete. To me Olympians are only notable if they won a medal. But I don't know Wiki's rules on it. I tend to avoid sports and politics related articles because most are run by cabals. Thoughts? The Real Libs-speak politely 00:32, 8 March 2009 (UTC)

Re: Black Sabbath
Hi, please could you stop edit warring on the BS article. Please read WP:EDITWAR and WP:3RR. If you continue to edit war: Page protection and/or blocks may be issued. I will also warn Wiki Libs. Also, Theintreprid appeared out of nowhere to support you; while it's been confirmed that neither of you are socks, I would appreciate if you did not ask him to support you in content disputes. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you. ScarianCall me Pat! 13:57, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for the warning but I'm already aware of the 3RR and if you check the diffs, you'll notice I didn't engage myself into any edit war recently. I didn't even revert it twice recently. Reverting once is not what I call an "edit war".
- It's been more than 3 years that I've been contributing to wikipedia and I never engaged myself into any edit war. I always played by the rules.
- Besides I didn't ask anyone to help me in this dispute, I don't even know who this theintrepid is and if you believe otherwise just check his talk page and my page. And you'll see I didn't ask anything to him. So I find it excessive to be accused of this when I just didn't do it and don't plan to.
- So I find it weird and unfair to be reprimended without having done anything wrong with respect to Wikipedia rules. I feel I am judged even before having done anything.
- Please juge me on my acts, not on what you suppose my intentions are. After all assuming good faith is one of the rules of wikipedia as far as I know.
- btw, I don't think it's hard for any native to see how my english sucks. So I find it weird that one could think I am a sockpuppet with this person. This guy seems to speak english fluently. No need to use the check user to see that. Anyway, I'm glad you did it. This proves my innocence. Fred D.Hunter (talk) 14:56, 8 March 2009 (UTC)

Hello! I noticed you recently reverted just about every edit contributed by this IP user, and thought there were a few things you should know. First, he is a highly disruptive editor that will likely ignore anything you tell him and edit any page how he sees fit. All of the edits you have undone, he will simply revert. It is also likely that this user is a sockpuppet of User:LukeTheSpook. Fezmar9 (talk) 18:12, 8 March 2009 (UTC)

Please? GeZe (talk) 20:21, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
I think you misunderstand, I want you to tell me the non-neutral portions of the article so they can be fixed.
In the reception portion, only quotes are used, and these in the case of IGN and GameSpy are not random quotes chosen to make PR look good, they are the sub titles of the article. I am not sure what section the PC Zone quote comes from. Maybe you want the PC Zone quote to be removed as at can't be directly sourced (print magazine)?
I am not aware of any major publication posting a negative review of Project Reality. If there was I would add it.
In the other sections of the article, I am not sure what would be non-neutral.
Thank You
Hello! thanx for fixing the typo on my User page. :D--LGK (talk) 02:30, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
Excuse me?
That was my own personal sandbox. Nobody, as far as I know, bothers to even visit it. So why are you accusing me of being aggressive and confrontational on my own personal sandbox? Perhaps your understanding of English is different from mine but I do not see "don't mess with it" as being either aggressive or confrontational. I find your assumption and edit of my sandbox to be both aggressive and confrontational. You could have just left a polite message voicing your concerns on my talk page instead of taking an unilateral action and spouting off accusations of bad behavior. Where's the assumption of good faith? --Bardin (talk) 14:48, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
You want the linguistic break down? "Don't" - Contractional variant of "Do not", an imperative command. "Mess [around]", an intransitive verb, is commonly used as a colloquial expression for "creating a disorder"; this automatically implies that you are assuming people will mess around with it. A more neutral, less imperious substitute would be: "Please do not edit my sandbox" - Instead, you chose something that automatically assumes bad faith. You didn't say "please", or "thank you"... you just wanted to seem like the big alpha male who controls a whole sandbox! By the way, you'll never own anything on Wikipedia. You own nothing on Wikipedia. Either be polite and calm or go elsewhere to be controlling, aggressive, and dominant. Thanks. ScarianCall me Pat! 16:35, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
- Woah, calm down. What is with the tirade? Did you have a bad day or something? I am really astonished at your behavior here. Seriously, what have I done to deserve this? Did I upset you because I voted keep on the last AFD you made? Why are you picking a fight with me? Now I'm trying my best here not to get upset myself and I'm going to try very hard to avoid using any words that might upset you even further. However, I must point out once again that your understanding of English is different from mine. I can sincerely and honestly tell you that I had no intentions whatsoever to come across as either aggressive or confrontational when I wrote those words on a little corner of wikipedia that I thought was supposed to be personal and would unlikely receive any visitors. Those are four common everyday words. "Don't" is something that is used frequently by people all over the world and I see no reason to assume an intent of aggression or confrontation when I come across it. Did you get upset when Bobby McFerrin sang Don't Worry, Be Happy? Or when you come across Don't repeat yourself, Don't be evil, Don't ask, don't tell, Don't Look Now, Don't Stop Believing, Don't Phunk with My Heart, Don't Tell a Soul , etc? Perhaps you should complain to the writers of the wikipedia essays Do not insult the vandals or Don't call a spade a spade? Or the content guideline Do not create hoaxes? As for your comment on the word "mess", you make it seem as if foresight is a bad thing. Vandalism is a frequent occurence here on wikipedia. Is it wrong then for wikipedia to assume that people will create hoaxes?
- Now please, calm down. Control your temper. Whatever I have done to make you angry, please let it go. Take a look at the mirror and your own words. You have insulted me by saying that I want to seem like the big alpha male. I find that very offensive. You then taunt me by saying that I'll never own anything on wikipedia, as if I ever wanted to. That sandbox is a personal sandbox, whether you like it or not. Wikipedia itself uses the words "my" and "your" when it refers to user pages and subpages. You end off your message with an ultimatum, a threat that I should behave or get lost. Adding the word "thanks" after that does not make it any less aggressive. Where's the assumption of good faith on your part? Instead of finding out whether I intended to be aggressive or confrontational, you chose to assume that I was being so. What was so difficult of writing a short message on my talk page, something like "hey, bardin, perhaps you might want to tone down that message on your sandbox. It might give the wrong impression." I would have responded with "yeah, I guess, thanks." And all would be well with the world. Instead of writing a polite message on my talk page, you chose to accuse me of being aggressive and confrontational in removing those words yourself from my personal sandbox. I find that action of yours to be both aggressive and confrontational. I hope the irony is not lost on you. So again, where's the assumption of good faith on your part? It really seems to me that I have somehow upset you before this incident and you're just looking for an excuse to have an argument with me. Please tell me that I am wrong. I expect better from you. --Bardin (talk) 17:35, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
You're very right. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have been so defensive and I sounded immature and petty. You have my sincerest apologies, friend, and I can honestly say I didn't mean anything by it. I shall revert myself and strike my comments. Thanks very much for your insightful comments above; I appreciate them wholly. Retards are everywhere y'know
Look at the post that comes after this. That link is officially killed. Only one more nail was required in the blacklist coffin and the link to the "unpaid" staff of NNs is all that was needed. Its hilarious if you have time to waste reading through it... most are students and most haven't even reached the age of 20... now if only metal-archives.com was blacklisted metal editors would be forced to go out and find references that don't cater to 12 year old retards. Look at his recent post to a British IP that reverted his addition of the link (you Brits are uber-smarty when it comes to cleaning out junk on the Wik eh!)
