I've really tried hard at expanding the background section but with no great success. It's the only thing holding the article back from being passed, as everything else is perfect (as a result of 3 GANs, 3 FACs and 2 PRs lol).   That's what the rumors are anyhow. I think it could be true, these things have an odd way of leaking. This time though she really needs to outdo herself, Bionic had some incredible moments but generally it was pretty disappointing for someone of her vocal ability. One good thing came from that era, the song "I Am" is literally my favorite all time song. I have been trying to get her articles looking a bit better but I never have the time and I am just plain awful at finding reviews and writing about charts so I just never manage to complete them! -FeuDeJoie (talk) 22:30, 28 December 2011 (UTC)

I see that you have reverted twice now the removal of "Though her work is mostly described as indie pop", yet you have provided no sources for this. The only source cited is this, which describes one of her songs as "Adult Alternative / Alternative Pop/Rock / Indie Pop", i.e. indie pop is not even the primary categorization used by this source. In the two sources you just added, the term 'indie pop' does not appear anywhere. You must appreciate that indie pop is a genre, it isn't just pop on an indie label. 'Indie' can mean many things and does not necessarily refer to a style of music. Yes, that's the case. And pop radios are what bring downloads. With only Urban and Rhythmic support, Beyonce's singles cannot reach more than 50 million AI despite topping both formats. On the other hand, being number one at Pop brings at least 75 million AI alone. Not to mention, people listening to Urban radios buy albums rather than singles. Lol. Yes, I agree and more impressive is that Beyonce has sold 2.5 million copies without capitalizing on a festive season release date. LOT is currently at 46 million AI and it was sent to urban radios when it was already at 27 million AI. It was not sent to other formats. Lol. It's clear that they do not want to release songs now. They are only rendering official what radios are playing. LOT charted for two weeks because of the VMAs performance. It re-entered in January 2012.
