Highrise is a creative mobile community where over 3 million people create avatars, express themselves, and make friends. Highrise operates as a fully remote team of 25+ backed by YCombinator, Bessemer, Maveron, and other leading investors.

Background

Highrise was co-founded by Anton Bernstein and Jimmy Xu in 2015. On Y Combinator's S18 Demo Day 1, Highrise launched as #ME. Exclusively offered as an iOS app since 201_,, Highrise expanded into the Android market in 2020.

Fandom

Highrise's popularity spurred fans to create an unofficial, fan-made website called highrise.world. There, fans can engage in a forum, buy/sell items, and check up on the game's latest news.
