Barranquilla edit

The information about Barranquilla, within the guidelines of wikipedia doesn't give any "make-sense" intro, please take a few minutes to read thru the Wikipedia:Guide to layout, there should be a subfield for history, and the author should at least make some of the afirmations made verifiable. As a city article its intro should have a foundation date! --Don Quijote's Sancho 01:15, 6 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, Fellow Granite Stater! edit

Thanks for joining Wikiproject New Hampshire! Please let me know if I can help you out with anything, and please let me know if there's any ways I can let you know what's going on in regards to things that need to be done to help Wikipedia, particularly in regards to our locally focused articles.

Also, I saw that you're an environmentalist, do you know Steve Shurtleff or Alex Lee? Karmafist 17:48, 21 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, I may have been too brief in my note, I am a business analyst for a mfg company, I am interested in protecting the environment, not an environmentalist. I don't know either Steve or Alex. SailorfromNH 01:23, 22 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Raft_hollingsworth edit

Thanks for nominating this for deletion. I noticed it right after you put the Afd tag on it, and decided it was a speedy, so I just deleted it. When an article about a person does not assert the importance of that person, you can put a {{nn-bio}} tag on it for speedy deletion if you want. Friday (talk) 00:39, 6 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Hi, in response to your note about Afd, I don't see anything that looks obviously wrong in the instructions. But then again, I remember finding it confusing when I first did it also. My best suggestion is, try it. The worst that'll happen is you'll do it incorrectly, but it won't be a big deal. Generally, someone else will fix it even if you can't. If you try an afd and something goes wrong, drop me a note and if I'm around I'll fix it for you and leave you a note explaining how you went wrong. Hope this helps. A New Hampshire Stub Is Up For Deletion! edit

Hey, just wanted to let you know. A stub that assists people editing New Hampshire related articles is up for deletion at WP:SFD. karmafist 04:03, 9 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the tip, I put in my vote. That stub is not assigned to a large number of articles, should we look for more articles to tag with it while the discussion is still going on? SailorfromNH 16:36, 9 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

From your comment on the vote on this stub redirect I think you may have mistaken what is being voted on there. {{New  Hampshire-stub}} is a redirect to the stub template {{NewHampshire-stub}}. Only the redirect is being considered for deletion, not the template. The redirect has been nominated because it contradicts the naming guidelines for stub templates. Your page move request edit

I noticed your page move request today. I was bold and made the move myself, as virtually any registered user could have done. It's nice to ask, but there's no specific need to vote on unobstructed moves like this. At the top of all article pages there is a tab labeled "Move" — if you click this tab, you will be taken to a new page where you can enter the name of the page to which you wish to move the current article. As long as there is no history on the target page (meaning there is not more than one edit if the target page already exists), even a registered non-admin user can make the move. Thought I'd let you know for future reference. :-) BRossow T/C 21:21, 31 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Adrianne Wadewitz Memorial edit-a-thons edit

Adrianne Wadewitz edit-a-thons in Southern New England

As you may have already heard, the Wikipedia community lost an invaluable member of the community last month. Adrianne Wadewitz was a feminist scholar of 18th-Century British literature, and a prolific editor of the site. As part of a worldwide series of tributes, New England Wikimedians, in conjunction with local institutions of higher learning, have created three edit-a-thons that will be occurring in May and June. The events are as follows:

We hope that you will be able to join us, whether you are an experienced editor or are using Wikipedia for the first time.

2019 US Banknote Contest edit

  US Banknote Contest
November-December 2019

There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons.

In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate.

If you do not want to receive invitations to future US Banknote Contests, follow the instructions here
