License tagging for File:JCThompson1917.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:JCThompson1917.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 08:07, 6 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

I have added the copyright tag PD-US to indicate that the photo was taken in the US before 1923.S. M. Sullivan (talk) 09:08, 6 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Sara Northrup edit

You nominated Sara Northrup for deletion a few days on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sara Northrup. I have completely rewritten and greatly expanded the article (which is now at Sara Northrup Hollister). Hopefully this will address your notability concerns - if it does, might I suggest that you withdraw your deletion request? Your views on the new-look article would be very welcome. -- ChrisO (talk) 23:48, 6 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

I now vote to keep the article.S. M. Sullivan (talk) 00:00, 7 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, I appreciate that. Would you have any objection to me closing the AfD as moot? -- ChrisO (talk) 00:01, 7 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
Please close it and remove the delete tag at the top of the article.S. M. Sullivan (talk) 00:02, 7 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
Will do, thanks again. -- ChrisO (talk) 00:10, 7 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Peer review limits edit

The guidelines for Wikipedia:Peer review ask that editors nominate no more than one article per day (and four total at any one time). While the rules say that one of the requests can be removed, I will let it slide since this is the first time. Take care, Ruhrfisch ><>°° 04:26, 10 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Neil D. Mathur edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Neil D. Mathur, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Doesn't meet criteria at WP:PROF

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Fences&Windows 02:14, 19 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi. :) Although this article is gone, the listing just came current at WP:CP, and I thought to stop by to clarify. You can use brief quotations of copyrighted material in accordance with our non-free content policy and guideline. That page was written to make sure that our use of non-free materials is compliant with United States fair use allowances, although Wikipedia does deliberately choose to handle them conservatively. In this particular case, though I think it's very obvious you did not intend to infringe, the article seems to have existed entirely of quotes, aside from the lead sentence. Most of the text in any article should be your original language, unless the source from which its taken is public domain or otherwise free for use. Even book summaries and plot descriptions must be original language in part because duplicating the entirety of one of these would almost certainly not be brief. The summary you used in this article, for instance, was ten sentences long. If you have any questions about this, or how to implement quotes within policy, please let me know at my talk page. Thanks. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:10, 6 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

‎Alamgir (archeological site) edit

Hi. Thank you for you edits. In the future, I would suggest that you mark creations of redirects as minor edits, and give a relevant edit summary (stating that you created the page as a redirect, as opposed to a stub). Thanks. Claritas (talk) 07:39, 1 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

You are now a Reviewer edit

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 18:39, 19 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Edouard Dhorme, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Nord and Hans Bauer (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Proposed deletion of Shunyo Yamauchi edit

The article Shunyo Yamauchi has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. RZuo (talk) 15:28, 28 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Mecta edit

The article Mecta has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable. WP:NCORP failure

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 29 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
