License tagging for File:PromineIncTestModel.png

edit

Thanks for uploading File:PromineIncTestModel.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 16:05, 6 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

You uploaded, File:PromineIncTestModel.png, where you either stated that you had permission to upload it or that evidence of such permission would be provided on request. Wikipedia needs the permission to be explicit and proven at the time of upload.

Please read Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission, which advises on how to confirm the permission you obtained from a third party.

It is also advisable to ask the third-party what source attribution they desire, as opposed to marking the image as having been "sent personally".Sfan00 IMG (talk) 19:29, 8 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Alex Moss New York moved to draftspace

edit

Thanks for your contributions to Alex Moss New York. Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because it is promotional and reads like an advertisement. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Jamiebuba (talk) 13:38, 4 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi Jamiebuba, I appreciate you taking the time to review the page. Could you please give me guidance on what to change / how to approach this next time? I followed existing convention, basing the structure in no small part off of competing companies with mature wiki pages, namely: Jacob & Co and Tiffany & Co.
Would it help if I creating pages for competitors in keeping with the same tone? I do believe this category of company is underrepresented on Wikipedia, especially considering their cultural impact. Ruminater (talk) 14:34, 4 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

June 2023

Hello Ruminater. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Ruminater. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Ruminater|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Jamiebuba (talk) 13:40, 4 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi Jamiebuba, thanks for checking my work. I understand your concerns, I can see how my edits/pages seem suspect. To start, I just want to state I thought I was in fact well qualified to create pages for both, as I have interacted with each in a client sense. Please let me be clear, though, I do not have any financial interest in either company I have created a page for. I am not employed directly or indirectly by, nor do I own / do contracts / anything else with these companies, and I have no public or private personal affiliation with them. Please let me know if there is anything else you'd like to know. Ruminater (talk) 14:25, 4 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
