Kyoko Takezawa

edit

You have recently re-created the article Kyoko Takezawa, which was deleted in accordance with Wikipedia's deletion policies. Please do not re-create the article. If you disagree with the article's deletion, you may ask for a deletion review. Irongargoyle 16:12, 8 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

I have done a little more investigation and it appears she may be notable. Please include this information on the page however. As of now there is no assertion of importance in the article, and this is a criteria for speedy deletion. Best, Irongargoyle 16:17, 8 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, so if I disagree about the deletion of this article, should I edit the article to include her importance or should I ask for it to be reviewed first? Takezawa's less famous than, for example, Perlman but is a recording artist with major lables such as RCA and BMG. Should this be part of the article?

Would you help to review a Japanese translation made by Wikipedians?

edit

There's been a recent discussion at the talk page of the article for the Internet meme All your base are belong to us. The topic was made famous for the gruesome Engrish translations in the original video game, and the article provided a somewhat more accurate translation along the original text.

The discussion could benefit from a review of the accuracy of these translations as it appeared in this recent version, by someone with fluency in Japanese and experience dealing with editor-made translations at Wikipedia. Thanks for your time. Diego (talk) 11:14, 29 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Aikido Edits

edit

For Aikido Styles I think it is best if there is some link (either the organization or the founder) to include in the list. I agree with all your additions and I think the idea by having a link to a real article (ie. not redlink) is that it sets the bar to all the other non-notable organizations that get added. I don't want to revert your edits but I would hope we can get at least a stub for those organizations.Peter Rehse (talk) 03:26, 8 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

I think the minimum criteria is that there is some sort of article referencing the style. There is fact if memory serves me articles to Homma that might have been deleted. It the style is non-notable the theory is that the article wont survive. Can you let me know what style is dubious and I can take a look.Peter Rehse (talk) 03:59, 8 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

At one point there was just such a list and in the end the article "Aikido Styles" was developed out of that. Going back to a List will lead to as before all sorts of minor styles/organizations demanding space. Probably best not to go there.Peter Rehse (talk) 04:56, 8 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Gaku Homma

edit

On the talk page you can see the results of the old deletion debate which resulted in the eventual deletion. It looks to me as if a little bit more information had been provided that it would have survived. I suggest you use Tetsuro Nariyama as a template for the minimum. I already did some categorization.Peter Rehse (talk) 04:56, 8 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. I think we have got it covered but to make sure we really need something more with respect to references - not local and not Aikido Journal. Great if you could find something.Peter Rehse (talk) 08:39, 9 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hi. In your recent article edits, you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Request for translation: List of sources for an article

edit

Dear Rufe,

On the Reference desk someone recommended using the list of translators in response to a request. Are you willing to translate portions of or all of the list of references on this page? es:Wikipedia discusión:Consultas de borrado/Liceo Mexicano Japonés? It is for an AFD on the Spanish Wikipedia. This is so Spanish-speaking editors can understand what Japanese references exist about the subject. You are welcome to translate the references into English.

It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Proposed deletion of International Fritz Kreisler Competition

edit

The article International Fritz Kreisler Competition has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The article had no sources; I added one, but most of the information is unreferenced, including the list of winners. This is one of many (~23) articles for violin competitions that is virtually unsourced. They are also mostly older articles, dating from the early days of Wikipedia, before sourcing was as strongly enforced.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
