{{help me}} I had this article in the article via the Articles for creation process but just went ahead and created it. Am I on the right track with this?Rsp28 (talk) 16:27, 9 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Iff (if and only if) you're absolutely sure it meets all of Wikipedia's policies. For new users like you, it's best to use AfC because you get helpful feedback. Happy editing! Vacation9 21:29, 9 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Josve05a. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Mihku Paul, with this edit, without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, I restored the removed content. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! Josve05a (talk) 15:56, 2 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give NAME OF PAGE THE ARTICLE WAS CUT FROM a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Mihku Paul. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. histmerge

edit

Your request to merge the history of Mihku Paul into Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Mihku Paul (with the combined article residing at Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Mihku Paul) was not acted on before subsequent edits to the latter would make a history merge impractical. To preserve the "chain of credit" for copyright purposes, I posted a note on Talk:Mihku Paul pointing back to your efforts at Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Mihku Paul.

Look on the bright side, your contribution is now in the main encyclopedia instead of waiting for review, which would not be the case if an administrator had acted on your request. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 02:15, 10 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Wikilinking

Hi, and thanks for your work on the English Wikipedia. Just a short note to point out that we don’t normally link:

  • dates
  • years
  • commonly known geographical terms (including well-known country-names), and
  • common terms you’d look up in a dictionary (unless significantly technical).

This even applies for infoboxes, too.

Thanks and my best wishes.

Your draft article, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Mihku Paul

edit

Hello Rsp28. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Mihku Paul".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Mihku Paul}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 12:01, 25 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
