MotherMe Inc.

edit

The article MotherMe Inc. has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Thanks for your note and new version of the article. Although the article no longer violated Wikipedia's guidelines against advertising, there was a further issue: the article did not assert that MotherMe Inc was notable, in the sense that the business has been recognized as significant by independent reliable sources. While the business does appear to provide a valuable service to its clients, that is not the threshold level of notability needed for inclusion here. See WP:CORP for the guidelines on notability of companies, and WP:NOT for a more general explanation of why Wikipedia doesn't include articles on everything. Finally, given that you are the COO of the business (previous version of article) and apparently related to its principal Brenda Shumway, there's a problem with Conflict of interest. Basically, authors are discouraged from writing Wikipedia articles about themselves or their own businesses.

I've deleted the article, but moved the text to your userspace at User:Rshumway/MotherMe Inc if you want to try to address the above concerns. NawlinWiki 23:02, 13 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Fort Worth Dallas Birthing Project, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.fwdbirthingproject.org. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 19:03, 22 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
