Environment & Urbanization

edit

Hi, regarding this edit, please don't re-add that list as it is specifically mentioned in the writing guide for academic journal articles that such lists should not be included (for very good reasons). If you have reliable sources that discuss why a particular author has published in a certain journal (i.e., more than a bare mention like John Doe published in Journal of Foo), that may warrant inclusion, but in all other cases this should be avoided. Thanks. --Guillaume2303 (talk) 15:10, 20 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Nomination of Medio Ambiente y Urbanización for deletion

edit

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Medio Ambiente y Urbanización is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Medio Ambiente y Urbanización until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines. Medio Ambiente y Urbanizacion does not have the same content as Environment and Urbanization; in some issues, it chooses one of more papers that would appeal to a Latin American audience and translates them.

The comment about the lack of citations in Google Scholar. A quick (and incomplete) review showed 48 papers with 5 or more citations, 27 with 10 or more – and four papers with much higher numbers – 94, 58, 40 and 31.

The journal also has many well known Latin American authors. The reason for setting up this journal was to give young Latin American scholars and practitioners the chance to publish – and to revive the discussion of key themes that had been lost during the dictatorships

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Chris Troutman (talk) 06:49, 22 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
