advice edit

for your articles on NZ diplomats, I'd suggest you rewrite them as paragraphs, not lists. That's the way that people here expect to see articles. Many articles on ambassadors have been deleted on the grounds that the office does not imply notability --I've been very active at AfD over the years, and I disagreed with this, but the consensus is now clearly against me. I will try to defend these, but it would be much easier if they were in the usual form for biographies. DGG ( talk ) 03:26, 31 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

I agree with DGG. I hope you don't mind that I've taken the liberty of copy editing Peter Adams (diplomat) as an example, not to say it can't be improved upon. Best wishes. Station1 (talk) 19:25, 31 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
I do new article patrols for WikiProject New Zealand and have come here wanting to give exactly the same advice that others have already given. Schwede66 19:33, 1 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for August 6 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Russian Ambassador to New Zealand, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Tripolis. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Speedy deletion nomination of Manafort Brothers edit

Hello Reg west,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Manafort Brothers for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. ubiquity (talk) 15:53, 15 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

The article List of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China spokespersons has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

A same page related to the topic (List of Foreign Ministry Spokespersons of the People's Republic of China) exists.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
