Original research

edit

I removed your addition of the word "female" to the wood pigeon image. The person who provided the image did not specify the sex. Even if you are correct, that would be considered original research, which Wikipedia does not allow. David notMD (talk) 13:49, 17 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, just a quick web search and a little bit of zooming in. ReedBlower (talk) 13:50, 17 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Vandalism versus good faith

edit

There is a distinction between vandalism and edits that were done in good faith but are worthy of reverting, often because the editor did not provide a citation or was contributing original research. Also if a User is a number instead of a name, that means the person has not registered an account, and is being assigned an IP number instead. For the latter, could be a open-to-use computer at a school or library, so a Talk message needs to acknowledge that there can be multiple users. David notMD (talk) 19:46, 17 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

The Wikipedia Sandbox

edit

A robotic program clears the Wikipedia Sandbox every hour, so there is no need for any individual editor to act there. David notMD (talk) 14:24, 24 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
