Hi! You're certainly welcome to do so, but the article was far too short for inclusion in the main article space. There is a way to do so online but off the article space and that's via a "user subpage." Click on User:Rajesh.manirajan/Vivekananda College Colombo to open an edit window which you can use at your leisure to create the page. You'll find WP:YFA to be helpful in regards to content, layout, citations, etc. Have fun and feel free to ask questions...and welcome to the project.  :) Best, --PMDrive1061 (talk) 15:47, 12 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Vivekananda College Colombo

edit

The article Vivekananda College Colombo has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

non-notable school.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ninety:one 15:50, 12 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi again. I'll transfer the contents to the subpage link I created. This will prevent these sorts of misunderstandings from happening. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 15:52, 12 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Never mind...looks like you did so yourself. I have to tell you, the article will reqire a lot more content before it's ready for the main article space. I don't know anything about the subject, but I can try and add to it later to give you a better idea of what it should look like. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 15:54, 12 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • I understand. The article you brought to my attention is a bit too short, but not enough for deletion. It has a taxobox and some external links to support it. If you were to do something along those lines, it should be fine. However, if you are a student of the school you're trying to write about, surely you have access to historical data you can use to expand the article. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 19:39, 19 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
