edit

So, whose sockpuppet are you? Suriel1981 02:09, 24 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Maybe you'd prefer not to continue an edit war Suriel1981 03:26, 24 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

I'm responding on both of your talk pages.
  • The messages above violate WP:BITE, our policy against abusing new user accounts.
  • However, the fact that a brand new user found their way to WP:ANI almost immediately after just those few edits and comments is also highly suspicious. It is hard for new users who appear on ANI to claim innocence; truly innocent, truly new users rarely find ANI so quickly. It is almost guaranteed proof that someone has been here before.
Given both of the above:
  1. The edits which prompted all this are not entirely proper, and you should review the policy Suriel has quoted.
  2. Merely being a sockpuppet is not violation of Wikipedia policy (See WP:SOCK). However, if you are, and if you continue any abuses which were started by a prior account, all usage will be treated together.
Please read up on our policies and avoid stepping on toes. Use of article talk pages rather than simply undoing someone else's changes is preferred most of the time.
Thanks. Georgewilliamherbert 05:44, 24 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please calm down. Though your behavior was suspicious in finding ANI that quickly, there's no significant policy violation here, and nothing is going to happen to you for just what's happened so far. Please review the policy regarding spelling (WP:ENGVAR). If you do cross a policy or behavior line, someone will give you a more proper warning than the above, and should explain what you did wrong and how not to do it again. You can go back to editing, there's no abuse case issue here needing resolution at this time. Have a nice night. Georgewilliamherbert 06:26, 24 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
