Speedy deletion nomination of Prof Keshab Chandra Dash

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Prof Keshab Chandra Dash, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. bonadea contributions talk 18:36, 29 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Please do not write or add to an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. bonadea contributions talk 18:38, 29 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

bonadea Please do not pass your comments unless you know about me or my background. Please only talk in terms of what is right and wrong from Wiki perspective. FYI, this is NOT an autobiography. Again define your term of genuinely notable. What are your criteria for those? I've had witnessed many friends of mine who are present in Wiki. I'm not sure how you made them genuinely notable and allowed to be on Wiki.

Please do a thorough research before marking it for deletion. I do understand it's Wiki. Please do NOT try to teach me about the differences.

I would like to request Wikipedia to do a legitimate review on my account as it seems the bonadea is novice user doesn't have any knowledge on the field I'm renowned. I'm afraid, with this kind of review Wiki might loose few eminent personality. Please think otherwise.

Thanks for your consideration.

Please do a legitimate review of the facts given for Prof. Keshab Chandra Dash

Hi,

The current user bonadea comment is NOT appropriate and I strongly condemn his/her statement about my career. Without having proper knowledge of Sanskrit literature, he/she has challenged a Poet/Philosopher's hard-earned work put together through out his lifetime.

Therefore, I urge Wikipedia to carry out a thorough check and advise how the content can be modified to get published with out violation of any laws.

Also kind request to assign some person to review who has knowledge in this field. The user seems to be from a different world altogether and doesn't have any idea about India and how a person in genuinely notable in India.

Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Prof.keshab.ch.dash (talkcontribs)

Indeed, the only issue here is what is right or wrong from Wikipedia's perspective, and that is my only consideration in tagging the article you wrote for deletion. The specific definition of "notability" according to Wikipedia's definition is this ; notability for academics is determined according to these guidelines, and there is also a general notability guideline. As I said on the article's talk page, I have never doubled that you are notable. That is not the issue with the article. The deletion tag is certainly not a challenge of your work, it is simply an assessment of the Wikipedia article in question. I'm curious as to what you mean by it not being an autobiography? Are you not Professor Keshab Chandra Dash?
My personal qualifications are irrelevant since (again) the only issue at hand is Wikipedia's policies and guidelines and whether the article follows them. While my own PhD is in a slightly different field, I am not a "novice user" when it comes to Wikipedia - and in any case I'm not the one who decides whether the article should be kept or deleted, that is up to the administrator who reviews the deletion tag. Thank you. --bonadea contributions talk 19:58, 29 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
In one of the talk you said, it's a violation of NPOV, now you are giving a definition of this. Are you confused? Instead of writing a marathon email, could you please point to the right area where it needs modification. It seems you can't justify your own comments. I have never doubled that you are notable. I don't care what you think.
The deletion tag is certainly a humiliation. How an autobiography can be promotional?
Are you not Professor Keshab Chandra Dash?. I don't have to give you proof that I'm a professor or not. Who are you to ask such bogus question? Instead of writing and arguing about the topic can you please answer the following questions?
Please justify which sections of the Article you think is that violation of NPOV or against the policy/guidelines outlined by Wikipedia?
On what ground you have reviewed the article and marked it as deletion?
What level of expertise you have on the field of Sanskrit literature and what are the measures you followed while reviewing an Article in the related field?
Why have you categorized this as an Autobiography and what made you to to give the following note on my page?
This article is an autobiography or has been extensively edited by the subject or an institution related to the subject. It may need editing to conform to Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy. There may be relevant discussion on the talk page. (June 2015)
How do you categorize following pages? Are they Autobiography or something else?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kala_Nath_Shastry,https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bhaskaracharya_Tripathi,https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Om_Prakash_Pande,https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mithila_Prasad_Tripathi
Wikipedia: This user bonadea is harassing by commenting on something which he/she has no clue. If someone pointing out the mistake he/she should tell where it is? Rather than telling this is a violation of Wiki policies. I urge to review the Notification on my page and remove them after taking necessary validation.
