You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Proposed deletion of This Hell

edit

The article This Hell has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The song doesn't meet notability guidelines, the musician does but notability isn't inherited.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi!
Editing / creating articles on here is fairly new to me so I don't fully understand the criteria yet. I've take a look at the notability criteria for music to try and understand the reason for the proposed deletion.
Please correct me if I'm wrong but does the single not meet the following criteria:
  1. "Has been the subject of multiple, non-trivial, published works appearing in sources that are reliable, not self-published, and are independent from the musician or ensemble who created it." The single has been covered by several notable online publications e.g. Pitchfork, NME, Rolling Stone, Stereogum etc. Would this not mean the song is eligible for having a wikipedia article?
  2. "The recording was performed in a medium that is notable, e.g., a theme for a network television show, performance in a television show or notable film, inclusion on a notable compilation album" Sawayama is due to play the song on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon today which I would argue is a performance for a notable television show.
Thanks! Pordypates (talk) 16:45, 19 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
I agree with that, I have removed the tag as I do think that it meets the notability guidelines. Zippybonzo | talk 16:49, 19 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
