Hello, I'm Peaceray. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Chester A. Arthur, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. "I thought" is woefully insufficient. It has to be "I verified with this citation from a reliable source."   You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Chester A. Arthur. Peaceray (talk) 17:26, 14 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

  • To be clear, removing information backed up with a source on the grounds of "I thought" is unacceptable. —C.Fred (talk) 18:00, 14 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
@C.Fred: (Responding to this edit summary) Normally I would go through levels 1, 2, 3, then 4 of warning, but with essentially the same edit summary used six times by SuperMarioBrosMovie2023[a], I thought it very likely that Pocahontas1596 was either a sock puppet or a meat puppet. Hence the expediency of simply going to a final warning. Peaceray (talk) 18:28, 14 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Notes

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because it appears that you are not here to build an encyclopedia.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  —C.Fred (talk) 18:08, 14 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
