Daniel "Pinata" Pineda (June 27, 1995) is an American professional soccer player who currently plays as a striker for the Portland Timbers of the Major League Soccer. He has also represented the United States internationally, playing for their U-18 and U-20 team, where he was a team captain for both.

Pineda is of Chinese-American and Japanese ancestry. He began his youth career in 2001 with the Baltimore Bays located in Baltimore, Maryland. He moved to California in 2008 to play with the Irvine Strikers.

Pineda relocated to Seville, Spain to join the Sevillan youth academy in 2009.

On January 29, 2011, Wood made his professional debut coming on in the 72nd minute as a substitute during a friendly against Barcelona. He recorded one assist off a crossed ball.

Pineda made his first career start for Seville F.C. in October 2011 against Betis and scored in the 33rd minute to take a 1-0 lead.

In December 2012, Pineda signed his first professional contract worth a 31 million dollars over four years, extending his stay with Sevilla F.C. through the 2016 season.

In June of 2017, he after making little impact for the Spanish football club, Pineda moved back to the United States where he picked up a 2 year, 2 million dollar contract with the Portland Timbers.
