Regarding your alumni additions to various high schools

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome your help to add new content, but your recent additions do not assert the notability of their subjects and have been reverted or removed. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 08:52, 19 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please stop adding non-notable alumni high school articles. While being a dedicated teacher is a worthy career, it is not notable enough for inclusion on Wikipedia. Thank you. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 08:58, 19 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Re your message: As noted below by Zedla, please read over the guidelines for notability for inclusion on Wikipedia. In addition to the alumni section of Wikipedia:WikiProject Schools, I also recommend that you also read the related guideline on academics. If you can provide references for why these people are notable enough for inclusion, then you can re-add them, but until that time, you should not list them in articles. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 17:43, 19 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. This is especially important when dealing with biographies of living people, but applies to all Wikipedia articles. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are already familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add your reference to the article. Thank you. all notable entries must have verifiable references from reliable sources which substantiate their notability and their affiliation with the school (also see WP:SCH)) Zedla (talk) 09:04, 19 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. Zedla (talk) 09:07, 19 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Notability

edit

I strongly suggest you take a look at the notability guidelines at WP:BIO and Wikipedia:SCH#Alumni before adding any more 'notable people' entries. There is also plenty to digest at What Wikipedia is Not as well (in particular, Wikipedia is not a memorial site) – Zedla (talk) 09:16, 19 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
